There's one damned ethernet cable that I haven't tidied up yet, but I'm very happy with my cable management and backlighting. This is in the only room in the house without a ceiling light.
Mac Pro is mounted sideways under the middle desk. Station on the left is kind of messy because we alternate three different MacBooks through there. All three drive two x 4K just fine (again we're not gamers so we probably wouldn't notice the boost an external GPU would provide).
Power/video/USB for the mounted monitors all go through the wall. I *%#@^ hate seeing cables anywhere.
USB lightstrips are super cheap and make a huge difference to me. Lower, behind the desk, are three Philips hue strips. They're more expensive but I can do neat things with them in terms of colors (bright white to sunset to any funky color you want). They're tied to a motion detector at the entrance to the room so they warm up when I enter.
The mounted monitors are 40" Philips, currently unavailable, but I highly recommend it if you can find it.
I have another at work, but it's AOC branded. It's literally the same monitor, screen made by Philips, with a slightly different bezel and stand. It is also currently unavailable at Amazon, but here are the specs.
Again, highly recommended if you're looking in the 40-43" space. Curved may not be your thing, and I get it. I like the curved more when there are two, because two flats side by side would be constant neck strain. The monitors on the left are 28" Philips (flat). They're here.
I'm only mentioning all of this because I'm a pretty particular guy when it comes to screens and I can say with authority that these have met all expectations. The 40" though you'll want to handle very gingerly, we had two at work that developed lines on the screen after being moved (the curve is a bit brittle and very sensitive to strain).
There are all kinds of mounts that overpromise and underdeliver. Don't get sucked into high price tags, as long as you can mount into studs, these are the best I've ever used (I wouldn't put a 70" TV on it, but these monitors work great).
Also when wiring up this office one of the smartest purchases I made was a multi-tool gang cutter (Nick Craver made me aware of this one). So easy to just let my Dremel cut a perfect gang hole very time.
Now I just need to get @Taryn to build me some nicer desks (these are getting a little outdated) and a nice big 84" pocket door, and I'll have the perfect home office. :-)
Back to the monitors for a second, they're spec'd to 3840x2160, but they do 5120x2880 no problem, if you're into that kind of thing. I'm too old to read at that scale.

I've been meaning to blog about my setup, because I am pretty proud of what I have done and am meticulous about a lot of little details, but all the time and all the things...
Today I'm just tech reviewing a book while waiting to take the kids to Toy Story 4, so a little more leisurely than most days.

For powerstrips and USB hubs I just use 3M command strips. If you get the right gauge it's just as good, and lets you put them in places you might not necessarily want to jam screws through.

Yeah when things aren't the way you like it can be a productivity killer. I'm pretty happy with this but I spend a lot of time distracted by the things I still have left to do.
