Not really eh
@ErikReasonableRatesDarling Where was that conversation with Dmitry you posted from?
00:44
LinkedIn
It didn’t get much better
He “sees the point” but you know
The thing is what it is
01:06
I gave him some thoughts on 𝕏
It won't change anything, but at least it was said

@PaulWhite found it. Thank you.

Did you all get together and plan those terrible opening moves
14:50
Yes, it's a conspiracy. You'd be shocked how deep it goes
@PaulWhite at least you're not required to use Query Store. 😉
I don't even understand how he's claiming it's possible to use it without Query Store when the article says "At least one complete execution of the query must be recorded in Query Store".
I guess you could add it to a query you’re running?
Or put it in a plan guide?
@PaulWhite confederacy of dunces strikes again
15:15
@J.D. What a stupid response that was. Retreating behind closed source (like I have no idea how MS work internally) and bloody semantics. Technically correct my arse.
@ErikReasonableRatesDarling Yes, or you could write a query with that hint on it to begin with 🤣
I'm currently wondering why PostTypeId is an easily misremembered four-byte integer code rather than a single-byte character like 'Q' or 'A'.
Because you can get some great demos joining to PostTypes for the easily remembered names of things
That one row guarantee is a ton of fun 🤌
15:30
Indeed. Very parallelism friendly too
Spent a couple of hours trying to repro Kendra's issue. No dice so far
She says she has a working SO repro query, nudging her to share
I thought Martin had a self answer for that question of his
Weird
I’m not home until tomorrow afternoon to mess with anything
15:47
@ErikReasonableRatesDarling Oh, I hadn't seen that
In response to Erik posting about sp_WhoIsActive on LinkedIn.
That's just the weirdest flex.
Ragebait
16:03
Is that a response on my thread or somewhere else? I missed it entirely if it’s on mine.
@ErikReasonableRatesDarling Yeah, it was here: linkedin.com/posts/…
Oh now I remember. There were so many stupid comments I muted it.
God what a bunch of nightmare people
Makes you long for the days of organized crime
Is his name rhyming slang
16:25
I thought it was always a name and a body part
Frankie the Chin, Jimmy the Nose etc.
Paulie No Hat
Maybe I should get a hat
I do have a range of summer hats actually
And a couple of winter ones, come to think of it. They're more beanies though
I like a good beanie
Has to be a full size adult one though, I really hate those skull cap miniature beanies people who have never worked a day in their life wear
Trying to look like longshoremen or something
16:50
@PaulWhite I've adopted the term pedantic semantics recently. I thing it has a nice ring to it.
@J.D. Yes
17:05
Welp, have a good weekend everybody, or at least a weekend. Inevitable either way.

I have come to two important conclusions. George Harrison is the only good Beatle and Joe Walsh is the only good Eagle.
Jason Kelce is pretty good too.

@ErikReasonableRatesDarling and you brought out the posh wine fork, too. Nice!
