so my mail server has been running a little slowly today, and the server fans are whirring excessively. Turns out the Windows Server Update Services database ran out of space early this morning and started spamming me with SEV017 errors. There are a lot of those emails in my inbox now. As in over 430,000 lol.
perhaps I should put a limit on how many messages my mailbox can receive over a set period of time
@HannahVernon Still pretty tough to pass laws while the filibuster exists in the Senate. Also, it's not a bloc vote and individual members always seem to disagree on everything
Not that passing laws has been much in vogue these past years anyway
I don't suppose many people can remember a functional US govt
@PaulWhite There is a very deep meaning. The pilot is solution orientated (all objects fit into the same hole) whereas the engineer sometimes can't think outside of the box (That shape must go into the designed hole)
Maybe some people are excited about flying with a pilot who can disregard norms and conventions and instead look for creative and novel solutions on the fly, as it were
It's silly anyway. Most engineers I have known would appreciate the irony of all shapes fitting through the one square hole
There's little space for such nuance in modern discourse, so it's probably irrelevant Just treat 'engineers' and 'pilots' as two homogenous and entirely separate groups
