@mustaccio When I initially saw that question, I just assumed whatever character set / collation is being used interprets both of those strings as the same. The ?????? from the error message made it seem so even more. Perhaps these are all characters not correctly supported by the character set / collation, resulting in them being compared as a replacement character ? The strings are the same length too.
