@bbaird and @CadeRoux : I found the DAX function RELEATED() which returns the Namefrom the State table as a new column DatabaseStateDesc, if there is an existing relationship.

Cool, I have to do as much in the DB as possible because I need to at least attempt to be platform agnostic at the tools level, it looks like we might have our first PowerBI customer luminary relationship for our Data Mart, so as the use cases get realer and realer, we get more constrained.
