@MaxVernon Oh, dear. A mouldering concorde rotting at Heathrow. Post-Thatcher Britain in a nutshell.

12:52 PM
@ConcernedOfTunbridgeWells reading through that article, I found there's another one at a museum at Brooklands. Not rotting this one!
Very near me, I may visit it.

you'll have to be quick

why? (drum roll, waiting for the pun ;)

well concorde is pretty fast, no?

1:42 PM
@PaulWhite Not any more, it isn't
Too expensive to re-certify after the Air France one blew up.

== earlier comments == Some context from Emu, perhaps about changing Australian ecological approaches to Emus would be better. Hard to see why this is separate. --Wetman 07:15, 4 Feb 2005 (UTC) It's pretty much a duplicate of the information I added to emu years ago. I see no pressing need to merge it, but have no objection either. Tannin 01:22, 6 Feb 2005 (UTC)LMAO dumb australians lost to some emus XD — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.184.125.226 (talk) 19:40, 4 January 2018 (UTC) == Capitalization == To the user who keeps wrongly capitalizing the word "emu" in this article - stop it...
My god is an awesome God.

3:24 PM
@EvanCarroll you're a nutcase, you know that, right? :-)
also, who knew there was such a thing as the "emu war"

3:41 PM
Who knew a genocidal prison colony could lose a war against birds.
British people are weird af.

3:57 PM
@ConcernedOfTunbridgeWells the article (or Wikipedia?) says that besides the accident, there was also (later) an issue with Airbus stopping support.
What support were they providing? I thought Concorde wasa joined project of British and French industries
(although I had lots of fun at the previous job, pretending to think that it was only French. And making bets that everyone - outside of Britain - thought that it was French)

I did

@PaulWhite I've being working on some drafts but I like none of the ones I've drawn so far. The lack of space wrt height is problematic.
Plus my lack of graphic design skills... :D

OK. A hard question for you all.
Naming: I want to find a synonym of state/phase/version but I need a word that is - lexicographically - after state.
So "version" matches the requirements but doesn't sound very well with the others.
More details, I have gameplays and gamestates and Xs (and looking for a word for X)
A gameplay has many gamestates and a gamestate has many Xs.
So "gameversion" doesn't ring nice to my ears.
"statephase" is best I could find but I'd prefer something that starts with "game" if possible. Any ideas?

variation?

uniquifiers :P

@AndriyM Not bad but we already have "variant" for another thing. It would be confusing

Is it really about version/variation of something?

"phase", "step" match more closely to what the thing is (and variant / variation not so much)

7:36 PM
Unit?

Step does sort after state. It's not precise enough?

each (game)play goes through many (game)states and each state through many Xs
Oh, step does sort after. Yeah!

Slice
Subdivision
too generic of course, that last one

Substate seems like it would work too, though it might be too on the nose.

Super! thnx Andriy! I'll keep "step" (unless we come something better) but it does match very well to what the thing is
@jadarnel27 Yes, thnx! substate looks good too

7:40 PM
Oh, no worries. Cambridge Dictionary helped me a little

8:18 PM
@ypercubeᵀᴹ so, gamephase has been ruled out?
oh, I see p comes before s. d'uh.
