I have started this rooms as an experiment. Maybe it won't be alive for too long.
The purpose of this room: Feel free to mention here any achievements of MSE users (like: look, x.y.z. has already reached 1000 upvotes in ), interesting statistics (like: wow, we already have 333333 questions on this site) or anything similar (for example, if you think that it is worth pointing out something nice that a user did).
One of the reasons I decided to try whether this chatroom will have some sense is the on-going discussion on meta whether celebratory posts are suitable there:

Q: Are congratulary post off-topic on meta? Or only some of them?

Martin SleziakPosts commenting some achievements of math.SE users have been posted quite often on meta. Usually it was about a user reaching some reputation milestone, such as 100k or 200k. (I also remember a post congratulating some users on reaching 10k votes, which also contained a suggestion for a badge - ...

Marginally related: If such posts should not be posted on meta, but some of us still would like to show appreciation of some users' work, what would be the best solution. One could congratulate them in a comment, but such a comment would be unrelated to the post where it is added. (I have done something like that in the past, mostly as an addition to some actual comment.) Would creating a chatroom serving for this purpose be a bad idea? (Of course, in chat nobody would probably mind mentioning ever smaller achievements.) — Martin Sleziak yesterday

(If you can think of some more suitable place where something like this - appreciation of some MSE user and their work/achievements - could be posted, feel free to let me know.)

@MartinSleziak In meta-meta chat, they have an entire room exactly for that -- praising moderators. http://chat.meta.stackexchange.com/rooms/551/in-praise-of-moderators

@Thursday I am aware of that. I thought about starting a room In Praise of MSE users. But I thought that it would probably not be used too much, so I decided to post this in the main chatroom.
Of course, meta was used mainly for major milestones. Also minor things can be mentioned here.
I am not sure whether it would be better to post such things in the main chatroom or whether a separate room is better. But I don't think that trying this will do too much harm.

I have already said in the main chatroom what a great job moderators do. But I will repeat the same thing here, too.

Arthur Fischer mentioned in this post that: In the last 30 days well more than 1000 comments have been removed by the moderators. This just reminded me how much work moderators do on this site. (In particular Arthur who is at the moment most active mod on meta.MSE.) So I wanted to publicly thank them for their work.

Congrats to Thursday a.k.a. Care Bear for reaching 20k.
So that he does not have to complain:
Now nobody is going to congratulate me on acquiring 15 daily delete votes. :( — Care Bear 2 days ago

There are two requirements for golden tag badge - score at least 1000 and at least 200 non-CW-answers.
Several users have more than 1k upvotes in , but Willie Wong seems to be closest - he only needs 7 more answers.
That would be the first golden tag badge on meta.
