@Green That's for the Engineering department (not one I'm familiar with). Each of the sciences has a group of students who help out at problem sessions for courses they've already taken. Math has Pi-rates, CS has Ninjas, etc.

Physics has the cryptically named "Science Associates".

Never been a huge fan of necromancy...but I am suddenly wondering if there ins't the potential for a monk/caster combo with necromancy...I have to look into this.

@James Yes but not in its current form. The video portion just seems clumsy to me. I'd prefer an audio only version. Easier to setup, easier to record.

If we were all in the same place so there was only one camera instead of four, that would make more sense to me.

Any one of us can edit audio with relatively little effort. Rerendering video seems to take forever!

Also, we don't have any content other than a few pictures that require visual communication.

@James Sure. I have a nephews birthday party tomorrow night 6:30 est, but should be back by 9 (I would imagine). I should be available any time after 7 Saturday, though I may have to lock the kids in the basement to avoid interruptions... Next week I think I'm available Monday night, but the rest of the week is going to be insane.

On the Audio vs Video debate... I think I could go either way. It's kinda fun to see what people look like, but having the flexibility of audio only has it's own advantages...

Granted, could use the video to help corordinate the recording, and then strip out the audio (or just use the audio only tracks that people are recording locally). I do think that being able to see the other people for the recording would be very helpful, for me at least, even if it's not used for the final podcast.

A very long, voice only "phone call" sounds less fun than a face to face conversation.

Q: Any way to read an answer that was deleted?

Yesterday I had 5 answers to this question. Today it's only 4. The missing answer had quite a few upvotes, but also involved a lot of math I was hoping to learn from but didn't have the chance to study. Is it possible to read the missing answer? I assume the author deleted it himself.

Q: Flagging comments on deleted answers?

In this question there was an answer which got two comments (mine plus another) objecting that it was not answering the question. The reaction of the poster was "sour" Would it still make sense to flag it for the records, or since it has been cancelled it would not be considered?

I haven't seen him lately though I haven't been super active on WB lately either.

@James I did a little research and there was a bunch of services that would host for you. Most all of them cost something (which I'd be willing to pitch in for).

How hard would it be to revert the old casts into audio only?

@James Also, if we go the audio only route, we're going to have to be much more careful about hisses, clicks, scrapes....basically our audio hygiene.

@James Probably not hard. Ripping audio from video isn't conceptually difficult.

Given how bad our audio hygiene has been in the past, we may not want to republish the first three recordings till we can publish them as "oh cute! The good old days!"

Stripping audio out of a video is pretty trivial. I've used sites like onlinevideoconverter.com/mp3-converter in the past to capture the audio from a video for various reasons.

So I find out that I made a mistake when designing my alien homeworld. I was under the impression that the star's type would determine the color of the planet's sky. Found out after getting an artist friend of mine to draw some pictures of the alien planet that the sky would be somewhat blue, despite the planet orbiting a K class star (an orange dwarf star).

Luckily, I found out that if you increase the amount of neon in the atmosphere, it would appear orange, so that fix things. :)

That is correct right?
