@Ash I think if it was just the Elder Things the answer could be yes, since they are credited with creating the shoggoth and other life, including humans in "The mountains of madness". The Exploring Series on youtube has a lot of info on Lovecraft mythos.

@AndyD273 Yeah the Great Old Ones ate them too when they could get them, that's what I'm trying to work on, whether a voracious predator of intelligent life can in fact look and work far enough ahead to make their lunch instead of just feasting where and when they can.

@Ash They also successfully pushed back Cthulhu and the star spawn and the Yith every time... Probably could spend a few hours watching the whole explorer series for each of the mythos characters to actually find an answer to your question. For some reason I don't think that all of the great old ones were voracious eaters, and they did cultivate cultists as servants, meaning that they could plan ahead a little.

Other examples are using [ instead of {, etc.
