1:05 AM
I fondly recall
https://cooking.stackexchange.com/questions/76913/will-eggwhites-clear-my-lobster-broth/76983

Nobody was substantially helpful but it was a very fun journey.

I think I understand that a consomme is a touchy traditional topic.

7 hours later…
8:03 AM
@Stephie @Jolenealaska o/

@ElendilTheTall Hey Baby!

hey there
how you doing

Good morning!

Have you ever worked with greenscreen?

8:04 AM
it's like summoning minions
"To me, my pretties!"

@ElendilTheTall yup!

xD
@Jolenealaska a little
@Stephie let's talk about everything you did in England again
:D

I lost my bookmark. Post a link to your picture collection?

por que

@ElendilTheTall eh... you do realize that we as diamond-adorned users aren’t here to do your bidding? LOL!

8:08 AM
I have to show someone that you aren't just some guy I know from the internet, and that your advice is valuable.

@Stephie and yet here you are :P
@Jolenealaska both somewhat untrue, but ok

@ElendilTheTall because I want to?

tru nuff that :)

@Stephie keep telling yourself that ;)
bwahaha
Master of puppets
or perhaps Pastor of Muppets
re. the fruit scones, soaked I think

@ElendilTheTall can’t. I am supposed to actually work for the money the company pays me each m.

8:10 AM
@Stephie i was joking
seeing as we've talked about it for probably the last 3 times I've been in
each time slowly realising that we've already talked about it

Ok, so let’s put that topic to its well-deserved rest.

on to new topics
um

Trump?

Then, what’s new at Chez Tall?

@Jolenealaska oh christ no
@Stephie eh, not much

8:12 AM
Brexit?

climbed a reasonable hill with Isildurette on Saturday

Oh yeah? How old is she now?

Oh, good!

she insisted on being carried at one point
she's like 5' so that wasn't fun
@Jolenealaska 7, nearly 8

wow. I'm so old.
Is she really about 5'?

8:14 AM
i am 7 weeks into a couch to 5k program so thought I'd be better at hill climbing
turns out... it's still a bitch
6 miles, 500m of climb (yay British unit mixing)
25% gradient for the first 2 miles or so

Oh.

@Jolenealaska no that 's probably an exaggeration
she's about 4' 4"

that reminds me of a discussion I had with what was then still my boyfriend:

taller than a hobbit at any rate

That's still a lot of kid to carry.

8:16 AM
yeah I didn't do it for long

when does a hill qualify as “steep”

it was windy AF and she's whippet-thin, she was, as we say in Scotland, chittered
@Stephie i'd say 20%
when it feels like a Stairmaster, it's steep
having to lift your thigh past about 70 degrees is a bitch
having said that, it's much easier with walking poles
like taking a banister with you

@ElendilTheTall the incline in question was (still is) around 45 degrees, more at some points. He insisted that this wasn’t steep.
claiming that “steep” means you have to use your hands

and yet you married him
if you have to use your hands it's technically a scramble
I have several criteria, but usually the telling one is, if you ask yourself if you'd rather be dead than keep going up the hill and the answer is "yes please, and quickly", then it's steep
it didn't help that it was 21C with no breeze at the steep, sheltered part
also that she didn't stop talking the whole way up...
:D

@ElendilTheTall one of the few decisions in my life I neither question led nor regretted so far.

8:24 AM
@Stephie bless your little Baumwollsocken

I'm watching Platoon.

@ElendilTheTall that's lovely cool weather. Oh wait. For you it's face meltingly hot innit

Since no one wants to talk Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

@JourneymanGeek for climbing hills, yes

I figured I'd watch something light to keep my mind off of it

8:37 AM
@Jolenealaska I can't get past Dr Cox being in it

Dr Cox?

from Scrubs

@Jolenealaska good omens?

John C McGinley?
tell me you've seen Scrubs Jolene
TELL ME

@ElendilTheTall A few minutes of it.

8:38 AM
you used to be cool

What I have seen, I enjoyed.

s.m.h.
watch it all now, thank me later

I will when I drop a notch of obsession. I haven't watched anything just for fun in months.

ooo, jojo
I've told stephie about it but you might like it too
BoardGameArena.com
play board games online, for free!
with me!
on tablets and desktops
also you can play with other people but why bother?

     Of course I'll play!
Do you have a current favorite game?

8:49 AM
Two player, Targi, Kingdomino, Jaipur and Kalah

Never heard of any of them.

hehe
that's because you've only played Scrabble
there is a whole world of amazing board games out there these days
luckily, each game page on BGA has a section on how to play
Kalah is an ancient, ancient game though
3000 years at least
very simple

I lost a real game of Scrabble against a live person a few weeks ago. I'm scarred.
He just... just... WON!
With real words and stuff.

he was probably an AI
it's the only explanation

That's what I keep telling myself.
I'm on the game site, looking up Kalah.
You can definitely get me to play when I am not dead dog tired.

9:08 AM
:)

This time next week?
We can even turn on the audio and video if you want!

not unless you pay for premium
can always use discord for voice though

How much is 1 month of premium?
$4

ya
Discord is free though :)

Yes
I've barely used it. And I was batshit at the time.

9:15 AM
hehe

it happens ¯_(ヅ)_/¯

I need to go to bed, but I will turn my days and nights around to play for a few hours next week if you want.

okey dokey
don't put yourself out though

Great. I'm due for some night owl time anyway.

9:21 AM
alrighty, catch you next week then :)

Looking forward to it! And with that, I bid you goodnight.

g'night hon
