Q: Sorkin's "Your imagination, like a child, will explode with unrestrained possibilities for adventure." Works so well despite feeling problematic; why?

uhohI'm going to somewhat but not completely premise my question on the following: the line is likely written or edited by Aaron Sorkin rather than Kevin Falls (Galileo West Wing Season 2 Episode 9 Wikipedia, IMDB) that Aaron Sorkin knows what they are doing and the line wasn't simply an accident F...

This seems to be about writing, but I didn't think I could post it here because it's not about my writing.
It's been closed as "opinion-based", I'm wondering if I should ping the moderators there and ask them to consider migrating it. Thoughts?

@uhoh while im not a mod, i think here it would also be closed as a question about existing works. if language didn't want it, then i dont really know where it could go. One of the mods would probably know better than me though.

@Ceramicmrno0b I see what you mean, and while there's Literature SE, spoken words from a screenplay probably wouldn't work there either.

@uhoh :P i forgot about Literature SE. it looks like they might take it, one of their ontopic question types is 'Questions about how to interpret a specific scene, quote, theme, plot point, etc., or otherwise analyzing a work of literature.' you could probably fit your question in under that category.

@Ceramicmrno0b Oh that's good to know! Okay I will take a look in the morning and perhaps flag for assistance. If I do I'll probably revise the wording a bit to make it more suitable for Lit. SE. Thanks!

no problem :)
