Well hello @Mr.ShinyandNew安宇! I didn't recognize you.
Oh hey @MetaEd! Are you near San Antonio? I want to go to a conference near there next year.

@KitZ.Fox my head is on fire now

Because you are writing? Every day?

if by "writing" you mean "writing php code for an ecommerce platform", then yes. yes I am.

hahaha
ok so the story in a nutshell is - Jake is at his mom's house. He finds a popsicle stick of his dad. We have a memory of his dad's. He wakes up and is confused about whether he is Jake or his dad. We meet the neighbor. We have a memory of his brother's. In his brother's memory, maybe his brother has some of his father's memories. Jake wakes up and is confused about whether he is Jake or Jon, but less confused this time.
He finds the popsicle stick that has his brother on it (which he dropped earlier). We have a memory of his mother. In this memory, his mother seems to have some memories of his father's and of Jon's. Then he wakes up and he has made a popsicle stick of his mother.
OK, so the main idea is popsicle stick = container of person's memories. Jon makes one of David, Betty makes one of Jon, Jake makes one of Betty. They stacked up until Jake contains all their memories plus his own (presumably Roger's as well). Now Jake knows what really happened to them all.

hm.
I think your presentation of all of that was too subtle for me.
I guess the popsicle stick is a little too supernatural? I wasn't expecting it to be literally transferring memories.

Yeah, I didn't want to be blatant. It should be a puzzle. But I think it gets lost.
Maybe if the popsicle stick had some quiet whispering? Maybe if I made it feel creepier somehow so it would seem more significant than it initially seems?

I think the problem is that it's too subtle that they have memories they shouldn't have... like, Jacob calls Mrs. Robles "Diane", right? that's it? Or, also, he knows why Jon didn't use a pistol (presumably, to commit suicide)? Neither of those things are things he could only have learned from a memory transfer

Well, and she suddenly looks old to him. But yeah. I can believe it's too subtle. I'm not sure how to make it more obvious without hamfisting it.

1 hour later…
9:58 PM
@KitZ.Fox About 4 hours away. Driving to San Antonio is about like driving across Ohio.

10:16 PM
Wow Texas is big.
