Hey, I'm from Kenya and here chanuka is slang for "enlighten". Was just seeing what this was all about.

It is probably a corruption of a Kiswahili word meaning cleaved or loosed translate.google.com/?ie=UTF-8&hl=en&client=tw-ob#auto/…. Unfortunately, I can't find my kiswahili dictionary to confirm this.
