@Hosch250 that's nice. Does it handle resizing? Or just user resolution?

Resizing.

Nice. Resizing a GUI is a PITA

TBH, I don't even want to know the C++ that was written to make WPF a thing.

12:46 AM
Hahaha I kinda do.

1:39 AM
@bruglesco It's open source.
WinUI is the UWP one.

@IvenBach What backups?
@IvenBach Screw degrees.
@Duga That's way too few games played :(

@Hosch250 starred for later reading. Thanks!

It uses annotations, how can it not be using reflection?

1 hour later…
2:13 PM
@SimonForsberg It could be using reflection at compile-time and injecting the result into the compiled code.
It might mean it's not using reflection at runtime.

2:30 PM
Possibly, but unlikely... either way, this whole thing seems like something I'd prefer to not use.

Seeing as I don't Java, I don't have to worry about using it, but the sales pitch looks interesting.

Hey good morning everyone :)
Have a nice day

Q: CPU Barycentric rendering in JavaFX/Kotlin

johnnic431I am writing a software renderer for the Kotlin port of Dear ImGui. In order to be feature complete, I needed to add barycentric coloring to some triangles for things such as color pickers. I have implemented barycentric erndering as below, but it takes 75-95 percent of the time spent on the cpu ...

@Marc-Andre Likewise. Today has been quite good so far. I'll leave work in 50 minutes, then I will go meet someone in the city, and then I might take the day off tomorrow, and I will be free on Monday, so this could almost be weekend for me.

I wish it will. Today is not great so far. Seems like the last release had a lot more problems that are now surfacing.

2:43 PM
@Marc-Andre :( I know your pain, LOL.

well big problem which might have legal problems :S

Ouch.

@Marc-Andre GDPR?

No not related to that since we're only doing bussiness here in Canada

That saves you some headaches at least.

@bruglesco Ctrl+L Line cut is good when you want to cut out selected lines and paste somewhere else.

5:01 PM
Ctrl+M, Ctrl+M Toggle Outlining Expansion - collapse or expand code folding.

hey

5:27 PM
:barf: In a constructor don't assign arguments to properties...
The proper way is to do it the other way around. SMH I can be so smrt sometimes.

5:37 PM
@IvenBach is that the same usage as Ctrl+x ?

No. The distinct difference is you don't need to a single line highlighted.
With Ctrl+x you have to have highlighted (selected) what you want to cut.
With Ctrl+L, for a single line, you just have to have it on that line. It can be anywhere and it'll cut the entire line including the carriage return at the end.
It's similar but as long as a line is part of the selection the entire line will be cut.
For that selection Ctrl+X will leave the the part that's not selected cakeWritingTooLongLabel.Visible = and only cut the selection.
Line cut Ctrl+L will cut lines 57-59 entirely. leaving only {<CarriageReturn>}.
Does my explanation make enough sense?

Monking!

Monking @Phrancis

What's the good word today? Keyboard shortcuts?

7:44 PM
Mmm, no tsure what the good word is

I wish VS & SSMS had the convenient Ctrl+/ shortcut that JetBrains' IDEs have to comment out lines. That Ctrl+K, Ctrl+C shortcut is kind of clunky.

@Phrancis You can override it in VS.

Yeah?

8:00 PM
I didn't override it, e,c is also a comment command.
But you put your cursor in that textbox, press "CTRL,/", and hit Assign.
It'll warn you if that command is already used somewhere.
By default, CTRL-/ is assigned to "Edit.GoToFindCombo" globally.
You can also have multiple shortcuts for a single command. Dropdown the menu to see a few assigned for this one.
It has CTRL-E,C, CTRL-E,CTRL-C, and CTRL-K,CTRL-C all assigned to it.

@Marc-Andre Done
@Phrancis WEEKEND

I love working 80%

I WFH tomorrow since I'm in the office today.
So my weekend starts a couple hours early too :)

Our team lead just shared this with us :)

I've been training a coworker since 10 this morning until 5 tonight.
@Phrancis Nice.

@Phrancis Cool kids.

EVERYBODY google “florida man” followed by your birthday (florida man august 22) and tell me what you get. mine is Florida Man tries to attack neighbor with tractor
Today's Twitter game, the replies are HILARIOUS

8:49 PM
@Phrancis Who the hell is Florida Man?

@SimonForsberg Male residents of Florida. The headlines usually read "Florida man arrested for [insert ridiculously stupid thing here]", it's kind of a running joke in the USA X)
(as you will notice when you look at the replies to that tweet)
@g_pratimaaa "Florida man arrested for shoplifting after job interview" "His bond was set at $500 and he was not hired by Kohl’s." 🤣
Mine ^^ lol

@Phrancis Your girlfriend likes Sweden, right? I can highly recommend the Swedish/Danish TV Series "Broen" ("The Bridge") imdb.com/title/tt1733785

There's something seriously wrong with Florida...

Who is Florida Man? What is Florida Man? Why is #FloridaMan? @DesiLydic reports: https://t.co/MZ0XHItpMQ
fun to watch ^^ don't know if how valid the claim is, but it does make sense ^^
Oh come on!
#FloridaMan doesnt discriminate against age...

10:02 PM
Florida has a near monopoly on pineapples.

Florida man who allegedly threatened family with Coldplay lyrics ends standoff after SWAT promises him pizza
I suddenly got an idea for a "Florida Man generator" to generate some bullshit headlines
I'm not sure there's any left though. There are so many real ones.
But I'd better trash this idea right now already, I got enough things to work on.
Or maybe I'll mention the idea to @skiwi

Loosing battle. Florida will eventually use them all up.

10:17 PM
@SimonForsberg LOL

@SimonForsberg Thanks and have a nice weekend

10:33 PM
@SimonForsberg Hmm, right now I'm struggling to keep my eyes open lol

Afro-Cuban with a strong jazz influence, and the band leader is an amazing percussionist. Highly recommend a listen. Drum solo around 9:30-10:00 is insane!
@IvenBach Oh nice, that one was so much fun!

Part of what I like is I already know syntax simplification to make it easier. Still going through everything since I a schlub that needs to learn properly.

Ctlr+UpArrow or Ctrl+DownArrow Scroll line up - is the same as using the mouse wheel to scroll the coding window.
