First attempt at mince pies (and second at vegan pastry) - smells good, don't know whether the pastry is too thick or not, although it looks pretty solid. Weren't as deep as I was expecting (I need something else to cut bigger circles with!) and some of the mincemeat escaped
@skillpatrol That's good :) The pastry is a bit on the thick side, although it'd be a good thickness for a big savoury pie :) and it would've been nice is they were deeper, but ah well, next time!
@Mithrandir24601 ohhhhh! Now I have a bad conscience. Christmas baking chez nous: zero, zilch, nothing.
OTOH, we had cod with orange-honey-glazed purple carrots, basmati rice and a saffron foam (basically a savory sabayon). Done a lot more cooking than baking lately.
