Whenever the topic of a suspended user crops up, there's often confusion about what information moderators ought to share and what they should keep private. Sometimes moderators are just as unsure as other users. This can cause all sorts of unnecessary problems.

Especially given that mods can't comment on/discuss the matter unless the suspended user brings it up, it's not the sort of thing that can be meaningfully discussed without that user present – and in general, it's not the sort of thing that should be litigated in the "court of public opinion". If a user feels that moderation action taken against them is unfair/inappropriate, that user can contact the CMs to appeal.
@V2Blast . Thank you. I had seen the posts made by Andy, so I didn't need to see any records. As I said above, I was testing the chat room to see if an open discussion would be allowed.
At least when I was a mod, comment moderation sucked. Your options for addressing issues were to basically delete the comment without responding or saying anything inline. Deleted comments are completely gone (to users), so you might never know that your comment was deleted.
Options for addressing the user if they are making "problematic" comments are either 1. Do nothing 2. Send a moderator message ("serious" matters only) 3. Suspension
