how do you decide wire material and cross-section required for wire to transmit 3A of current?

@yogece What would keep you from using an IGBT at 100% duty cycle?
@deostroll Just use copper, and ampacity charts from the NEC
If the resistance is too high after satisfying the safety aspect, use bigger wire
