Alright, I'm looking for shopping recommendations. I've got almost no equipment for testing and prototyping of electronics. Any suggestions for bench power supplies, oscilloscopes, soldering station, anything else? Reasonable price ranges? Right now I have a power supply I cobbled together off an ATX and a large breadboard for prototyping. I usually just use a 9V wall wart for power. Trying to get my workstation set up.

@C.Lange What are you going to be working on? Audio? RF? High power? SMD?

@JRE -- going to start with a few audio project (the pedals we were talking about, a few others I have in mind) and some general electronics project (small car over BlueTooth, line follower robot, home automation). Through-hole for my beginner self, SMD down the line.
@JRE -- I don't plan on touching any mains electrical. I'll leave that for work.

@C.Lange Buy stuff as you need it - not all at once. For most things, when you know you need a piece of equipment, you'll have something approaching a specification or performance requirement. Until then, you're guessing.

When you need a soldering iron, get a temperature controlled one with a hot-air gun, for about $100. It'll even come in handy if you don't do surface mount, like if you put the DIP package on the wrong way.
