@Asmyldof there are caps and inductors too... it is filtering out a lot below I think 100Hz or so, and that energy is dissipated in a 4W resistor...
just a tiny bit bad when you have 50Hz hum, that gets filtered out and you wonder why everything is so quiet then you turn up the volume, hear a bit hum but the music is ok-ish and then molten solder drops out of it...

I wonder how they rate their stuff. I did a few a long time ago. with calculations, not simulations, but I took the energy at the frequency that it was filtering out and rated it for as if the full X watts that the system was rated for were in that frequncy...
they probably use some distribution "oh its music, nobody will ever have a dominant 100Hz tone in there"

Ribbon cables probably, or similar
"Crimp your own loom" rather than "buy $130/pc stackable cables"
But, soon... There will be CMU200's coming up from the stack too....

I am currently installing a cabinet at work to place raspberry pis and hardware stuff in.
I want to, from my workbench about 2-3 meters away, access a breakout of the pins for 5-10 differen Pi:s. (RPi mounted in UniPi extension thing).

Any suggestion for wiring this? I was thinking of running network cable and mount screw terminals on the workbench but was also thinking that I am missing an obvious ready made product..

what is a good method to remove a few mm of insulation in the middle of a cable? probably a mm or a bit more in diameter... using a knife is a bit... difficutl

Then careful work with a knife.

Wrap the wire in alufoil strips on either side of where you want to do surgery
Make the opening between them a tiny bit smaller
make the strips wide enough
Set the hot air to well above melting temperature, but not smoking levels
soften the plastig and use the blunt side of a scalpel to scrape it off.
PVC about 175°C should do
Or in stead of the scalpel something similar
's how "we" used to do very thick cables, just a few scales up in tooling
