@ThomasWard I am sorry for the delay, working gets in the way. I have 2 Ubuntu 24.04 machines. One this one that I want to use to act as server for websites, Emby or jelly fin, and backup storage / NAS.
Neither Ubuntu can see my websites by name, but can by localhost, 127.0.0.0 and 192.168.0.20, this brings up the shock.pics, I have 2 others, but concentrating on just one, figure I can copy to get others up later. My windows machine can see all three websites, shock.pics , shockfamily.site and shocktography.pics . All 3 machines are on same network. I can see all 3 off network. I also have nextcloud under shocktography.pics/nextcloud.
The connection has timed out

An error occurred during a connection to shockfamily.site.

If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web.

for the server itself add the domains to its /etc/hosts file. That way it knows it's itself.
for the other systems, you say you can connect by IP but not hostname? Did you configure the DNS on your other system to point at the 192.16.0.20 for DNS?

@ThomasWard Yes, i changed the network DNS on both Ubuntu machines. Windows i can see all three websites as normal, and on phone off network. Ubuntu only by 196.168.0.20
Server I added the domains to host file and rebooted and can see all three and nextcloud, on server.
