I was wondering what are the (primary or otherwise) sources that we have for political events of ancient Greece of the time before the Persian wars. I was going through the first few pages of Herodotus, and it seemed as though everything I knew about that time period came from Herodotus.

Is this a good question to ask on the main site? Or is this reference request / list? If yes, then can someone clarify here? Thanks!

@taninamdar That seems like it ought to be in bounds. I can be a poor judge of topicality on this stack sometimes though.
So this question, its seems an odd coincidence that two people wander in here with the same weird belief that gaining a day when circumnavigating a globe proves something about heliocentrisim.

Q: Did Magellan's log show an extra day?

Harry WestonMy question embraces history, cosmology and astronomy, I hope this is an appropriate forum to ask it, if not I apologise and hope to be re-directed. I have read, but lost the reference, that when the remnant of Magellan's expedition returned in September 1522, their log showed a date one day lat...

I'm wondering if there's some website out there that is pushing this as part of a conspiracy theory.
