@Jis12yearsold. If you want to learn virtualization, this is a wonderful resource (specific to KVM): lwn.net/Articles/658511. It explains how to set up a trivial virtual machine (a few lines of machine code) directly using the KVM API. In particular, this 16-bit x86 assembly:

That article explains how to interface with the /dev/kvm character device, how to set up the virtual CPU through that interface, and how to load that code into the hypervisor for it to execute.
