@nobody Well... kind of. In some senses it's more secure, in others it's less. Something like default Debian is really not all that secure against a dedicated adversary.
@JourneymanGeek No it's like that in every single distribution. Any distro where you don't get root by switching to a different TTY, using SAK, and logging in as root directly in agetty/logind is like that.
@JohnZhau I don't know of any, but it'd be very easy to write.

Q: password cryptography - individual password security

Greg WrightI don't really understand most concepts of cryptography all that well, I admit that. I've been reading through this 4 parts question and Why improvising your own Hash function out of existing hash functions is so bad. But still I fail to see how most of it relates to passwords. For password manag...

My fingers feel super sensitive and cold. If I don't hit perfectly in the center of the key it feels like I am typing on the edge of a fucking razor or some shit. I am currently averaging 90wpm, that is horrifically bad.
