@ConorMancone I don't think anyone is, I just like to pick outlandish threat models. But this one isn't actually that outlandish when you look at the OM.G cable.

But an attacker might swap out your USB cable if that is the most reasonable attack vector. For example, someone who utilizes FDE, always locks or shuts down their computer when they step away, disables DMA, never uses their tech in public, etc.. Even people that paranoid tend to trust their own USB cables, but how can you know it's actually yours?
