@jdgregson, I'd be paranoid, they might install something like a backdoor, spyware, etc. That's physical access to your device, in theory after that it might not be your device anymore. I don't know what I'd do.

by the way, it would be interesting to know what country that is, and how long the "inspection" of your unlocked devices is going to take.

@reed Well, even the US or Canada will opt to inspect your electronic devices if they choose to. They look for illegal content, or communications that may confirm your intentions for entering the country. I believe most countries give themselves the option to inspect electronic devices.

I can't find any related questions. I'd be asking something like: what are the pro and cons of the consensus algorithms used in blockchain implementations? Are some more secure than others? It seems to me that there will always be some kind of 50% + 1 attack that is possible, so, say you have a blockchain for storing money, and 50% + 1 of the people revolt against somebody and take their money (Trump, May, etc.)

@reed For deeply cryptographic questions, Cryptography is better.

But you'd have to be very careful to phrase your question so it doesn't sound like a cryptocurrency question given that you're mentioning blockchain, because those are off-topic there.

@reed Imagine asking a question on Electrical Engineering: "Copper is a good conductor. Will adding copper make my computer faster?". It's both broad and highly unclear.
