9:02 PM
Oh no, have you been infected with seamen?

orally :o

Orally infected? Oh my...

@LucasKauffman now I have that in my my history... ok

9:25 PM
Evenin All

@RоryMcCune evening

SOIRÉE

@terrychia @LucasKauffman . @adnan has a picture for you to see that he got tonight......
A selfie of him with Richard Stallman!

@RоryMcCune Evening :)

@Kisunminttu hiya :) We left @adnan getting boozed up on free wine :op

9:30 PM
@RоryMcCune Must be some nice wine!

@Kisunminttu isn't all Free wine, automatically nice ? Actually it was pretty good for free stuff with a meal...

@RоryMcCune He sent me a picture which showed the dining hall - I didn't expect it to be so nice!
@RоryMcCune When it comes to wines, I'm definitely less picky than @Adnan. He knows good wine :)

@Kisunminttu yeah it's one of the real old halls here in Cambridge, they have a load of old buildings as part of the university, it's very picturesque...

@RоryMcCune First thought: "Oooh, candles! Fancy!"

@Kisunminttu yeah was nice !

9:44 PM
@RоryMcCune harry potter was filmed there
ah no that's oxford

@LucasKauffman yeah all these old halls look alike :op

@DavidFreitag belated "so's your mom", sorry about the timing

@AviD Apparently @adnan followed through on the tattoo question...

@ScottPack Organization-Defined Value - that thing your cat pic was referencing.

@RоryMcCune hehehe, yes I heard

9:52 PM
@AviD way to get a random person to confuse someone :op

@AviD @DavidFreitag claims to love LAMP. I think that's indicative of his not having a mother. Or a father. Or anyone who cares about him enough to keep him from such desperation.

she called me sexist, or something like that. Then implied I dont know about any plural tattoos.
@RоryMcCune fun!

@AviD indeed!

Plural tattoos?

hey I didnt say he should ask anything about them. Was just trying to be helpful and guide him towards some fun people.
@RoryAlsop nu, the fact that there is more than one.
one which is publicly seeable.

9:54 PM
Lol

dammit I'm making less sense then usual, I'm famished.

@AviD hey he's already met me and Marion, how many more fun people does he need to meet :op

@AviD Being hungry makes your brain not work? Is this some disease you have?

@RоryMcCune lots
@Xander um, duh?

@RоryMcCune Waitwut? Adnan met you guys before I did?

9:55 PM
Think I only had one meal today @AviD, accidentally. Still, team karting day tomorrow, so the weight loss will help

but more to do with patience in typing sensical sentences
@RoryAlsop go eat now!

@RoryAlsop You accidentally ate @AviD?

@AviD I'm sorry, is this common knowledge? Do normal peoples' brains not work when they're hungry?

@Iszi AppSecEu

Nah. Got wine now

9:56 PM
Damn this pond that spans between us.

@Xander past a certain point, yes of course.

@Iszi yep he's at OWASP Appsec EU as are we. So the chain of verification now includes me @terrychia @LucasKauffman @AviD @RoryAlsop and @adnan

It's not as good a wine as I hoped, but it is a box of wine, so lots available...

now all we need is to meet up with some american Sec.SE people..

Good chain of verification

9:56 PM
@RоryMcCune The Pack

@RоryMcCune So, you're saying @ScottPack and I have a short chain?

@RoryAlsop youre drinking boxed wine...?? :-o

@Iszi a chain of 2 for now...

@AviD Interesting. I shall add this to my memory banks. I know that my wife gets angry when she doesn't eat, but the loss of function, I did not know.

@Xander you obviously dont go hungry very often.

9:57 PM
I know. I bought it for the festival, but ended up chatting up the cocktail bar staff so didn't need to drink as much of my own drink

@LucasKauffman I believe he's coming to Europe some time soon, but isn't visiting Scotland (huge mistake obv..)

@RоryMcCune yea Paris
of all places

@LucasKauffman well that's relatively close to you....

@AviD No, I don't have a problem not eating (for a few days, anyway) if circumstances call for it.

Looks like in our new model I will get across to the us regularly, so that could work

9:58 PM
@RоryMcCune It's still 2 hours by fasttrain (at least)

@LucasKauffman but yeah who'd go do Paris when Glasgow is available...

@RоryMcCune or Leuven :P

@LucasKauffman or F'in Bruges!

@RоryMcCune haha

Still not been to Bruges

9:59 PM
@RoryAlsop Bruges is good, Ghent is perhaps better

@RoryAlsop got some good restaurants there
I prefer Ghent myself

Leuven is good too

there is always beer in my cellar to share with Sec.SE people

@LucasKauffman And in mine!
Granted, I'm not in Belgium...
But if anybody can find their way here, I'll be happy to offer you a beer for your troubles.

10:04 PM
@Xander beer, hell if you make it all the way here I'll pull out my good whisky.

@AviD If I make it there, I'll hold you to that.

@Iszi That sounds terrible. Did an accountant come up with that one?
@Iszi Truthfully, those aren't so much the problem. Go read the text of the control for MP-7.

@ScottPack No, I'm pretty sure it came about naturally. Fits well when just about all of them are in the controls as "organization-defined x "
@ScottPack What's that, a Rev 4 control? I'm still not as up to speed on those as I probably should be.

yawn Home.

clickbait.

@AviD a surprisingly accurate synposis, though.

> "firefighters turned midwives delivered the student "by hand and without the application of tools".

@tylerl Can't happen on our campus. We only have phallic statues.

but did they have to apply lube all over him.
@FEichinger ....

10:36 PM
@AviD What? I walk past two large black penises every time I head for the main building.

@FEichinger no, I ...'ed about your assumption that that will prevent something similar (or inverse) from happening.

@AviD Never said the inverse couldn't happen.
But unless you can think of a scenario where someone could get stuck inside a phallic statue, I'll rest my case.

@FEichinger it does depend on the size, doesnt it?

facedesk

but as far as firemen applying lube, there is little difference between being stuck inside a statue, or having a statue stuck inside you.
go ask any ER doctor how often the latter happens...

10:41 PM
More often than the former, I'm sure.

My educated opinion of Ubuntu 14.04 is that it sucks. I should have stayed with 12.04.

@Xander Of course Ubuntu 14.04 sucks.
I could've told you that as well.

@FEichinger Because it is Linux? Yes, yes, this is true...

No, because Shuttleworth is trying to hard at replacing Jobs.

@FEichinger That too. That said, I liked 12.04 quite a lot. It did everything I needed, and reasonably well. 14.04 is more like...Windows ME. It's shiny and it seems OK, but it breaks quite frequently, and quite badly.

10:51 PM
hey folks got a question, not sure if it is ontopic for this SE or not. figured I'd post here and either get a quick answer, or post to the main site if it's deemed within scope
i'm seeing some events in our web server's logs that include the following string appended to a valid path: +++++++++++++Result:+using+proxy+183.207.228.9:8202;+no+post+sending+forms+are+f‌ound;
any idea what that might be from? I'm assuming some kind of vulnerability scanner. but nothing in google search results indicate if this is a known signature of a particular script or attack

Client: When I go there, my phone says that the internet stopped working.
Me: What's the exact erro message you see. The exact words.
Client: It says: "The Internet Stopped Working"
Me: ....

And this is exactly why "Internet" is a bad name for the browser shortcut.

@CharlesWesley Weird that you're seeing that show up, but it's a message that I've seen associated with comment spam tools.
The "no post sending forms found" bit specifically.

11:10 PM

@Xander xrumer perfect thanks

11:39 PM
@CharlesWesley Always happy to help someone at UW Bothell, given that I grew up in Bothell.
