Q: Will there be any consequence to exceeding age 24 for Upanayana?

DAN BHATTApastamba Gryha Sutra, in verse 1.1.1.27, places a maximum age limit of 24 for the Upanayana ceremony. If anyone exceeds this age for the ceremony, will there be any negative consequence?

@Mr_Green Hello
Is this your official site: uxrim.com ?

8:56 AM
Hi Naruto
yes, it sucks

@Mr_Green No! No! It is good. I am wondering how did you add Google Ad?
Are you also earning with those many Ads?

for that the content should be unique

When you say "unique" is it like the one you wrote ?

yeah I mean the content should not be duplicate of already existing website or available on internet

Also I see, on opening any blog link, it plays a song. Is it Google Ad's Maya or you embedded it?

9:04 AM
lol I embedded it

@Mr_Green Ok Understood.

So, what do you want to have website for?
Just blog or something more specific?

I have one already. Can you check once?

yeah sure

It's on my profile

9:05 AM
oh ok
Design is good

I downloaded a template
:D

The links are redirecting to medium
I think you can do the reverse

Yeah! Because the blogs I wrote are on Medium

i.e medium link redirecting to your site
^ In this case, you can have google adsense

Why would I do that?
Oh

9:08 AM
have medium like template if that would help

I will check if that's possible

ok

atm I am hosting my site on GitHub
I think it has own limitations like redirecting to different pages etc

I am not sure
mine is also on github
Thinking to move to AWS, that seems to cost less than 50rs/month

Oh! I'll check how can I fix that then; since I am not from designer background; I am facing issues

9:11 AM
ok cool

@Mr_Green Is it? I would happily buy that plan. Could you link me to that plan?

I hope it was like plan but it mostly depends on the knowledge we have. We need to understand the architecture well. It is kind of hidden one.
I recently took solution architect course. Hopefully that will be enough. I think I understand

@Mr_Green ..wait! I am not following. What do you mean by that?
@Mr_Green Oh to understand aws architecture?

yeah so that I can reduce the costs i.e less than 50rs / month

Wasn't knowing that's how it works

9:14 AM
@Mr_Green there is a response:
I've tried to fix the issue by replacing the rude/offensive example by general one. — Paṇḍyā ♦ 4 mins ago
Not what I expected

Don't go for shortcuts.. like if I say you that if you do this that and then this - don't follow this.
Read AWS whole
@AnkitSharma yup, that is not what we expect

@Mr_Green Oh Okay! I'll read. Thanks for sharing knowledge

cool
Sharma, I am replying

@Mr_Green it's like covering up a shit with mud rather then flushing it

To be more precise, a boner guy with pants

9:17 AM
:O
@Mr_Green I will wait

done
not that great

replied too

@Mr_Green xD

Q: Why aren't we answering on meta?

SarvabhoumaThe question is simple but I think the problem is not so simple. Recently the rate of answering on meta is very poor. For a beta site, meta is like heart. It's where the site decisions are taken, policies are designed, guidance for users is written and much more. But there's no active particip...

Q: Should marriage happen within a year of losing of parent?

zeus zeusOne of my Hindu friend from Maratha community lost his dad in an accident. Right after the last rites his relatives are forcing him to marry within a year or else he'll have to wait for 3 years as a custom, which has no reason except it's a tradition. He is already not come to terms with the los...

@AnkitSharma Reopen vote for that question. HAHA. Its time that I stop participating in any activity of the site. Just looking at actual question before editing, 1st, one can know how question was asked!!

The question is straight forward, to what extent doing rape is fine? disgusting

And the edit was lets make rape into generic crime

@Mr_Green Moderators get a notification when a meta is posted and @AnkitSharma question is in hot list for a day or two. I don't think that's unknowingly done.
Btw, welcome back to Hinduism Meta.

Thanks will be out soon :P

Oh..
@AnkitSharma Thanks. Let it receive downvotes. But I need an answer.

@NogShine I also got 3 DV for protesting against rape question. SO should be a new normal

Q: Why is intercaste marriage bad?

IkshvakuWhy is intercaste marriage bad? Is this just a case of Brahminical oppression to subdue the lower castes, or is there any spiritual, dharmic, or beneficial reason behind this practice? What do the scriptures say about intercaste marriage?

@Hinduismbot I think there's already a question about this topic.
@AnkitSharma DV are normal I guess. But your question should also not get downvotes. Thanks to @Mr_Green your question got at least an answer.

@NogShine there shoudl be many

can work as asnwer

> Meaning: Those who have ceased to practice their religion , are innocent, torture others, are angry, perpetrate violence, are unreasonable - they are mlechhas
Google translate translates the word as molestors.
@AnkitSharma harming is also a crime. It's not a general example.
@AnkitSharma Answer for which question?

Q: Can someone identify the source this story which mentions about relativity of time

harish2704The below text is a rough outline of a story from Hindu Purana. But I don't know the exact story and the source text of that story. My interest in that story is that, it gives us an hint about relative nature of "Time" which was an "Unthinkable concept" before the introduction of relativity theor...

How is this question a duplicate? One asks for identifying a story about time travel and other question is examples of time travel. Question and answer both are different. closing ID should be different.
@Mr_Green But but that's an excellent question now. It might get reopened. We will now answer "Any crime is karma of previous life. Shut up if you are affected by anything. "

@NogShine answer to this
@NogShine you know about vinayaki?

@Paṇḍyā Read questions again.
@AnkitSharma We discussed about her in Vinayaka Chaviti chat event

but I see no post about it
shoudl I ask?

@Paṇḍyā I asked how it's a duplicate. Not the comment of OP thanking some user.
@Paṇḍyā lol. Answers on meta.
I cast my reopen vote on that question. Questions and answers are different. Answers do not write about Kakudmi story. Even the question asks example of time traveling which the new question doesn't. Questions should be same or answers should be same. It's neither.
> This question already has an answer here:
The question does not have the answer to the story which is asked.

Question is asked on September 12 8 31. We close it based on a question which is not same and an answer posted after the close vote is cast?
@AnkitSharma @Paṇḍyā or anyone ..can you check the timeline of the question and say when the first close vote is cast?

Q: How come Veerbhadra mentions Vamana avatar during his encounter with Narasimha?

Carmen sandiegoIn Shiv Purana posted here (I think it was by Keshav Srinivasan), Veerbhadra was asking Narasimha to leave this form.
