Q: What are Bhuvanas?

TheLittleNarutoIn Shiva Sutra, it is mentioned that the Kalaa are divided into 5 types Nivrtti, Pratishtha, Vidya, Shanti , Santyatita . Each Kalaa has set of Bhuvanas, for example Pratishtha Kalaa has 56 Bhuvanas, Vidya Kalaa has 28 bhuvanas. So my question is, what are these Bhuvanas ? What is significance o...

@TriyugiNarayanMani Thanks
This question was in HNQ for a brief period of time.

@NogShine Welcome
@NogShine Oh. Great

Rama says Vibhishana as having a human form.

@NogShine Yes
But there are only two humans
Vibhishana and his four ministers are in guise of Humans, I think

It is a war strategy I beleive
not to confuse between Rakshasas and friends

5:03 AM
@NogShine Yes. They were talking about the statedies there.

Today, I added one question.
@Nog

5:20 AM
Yeah. Seen it.
Is there a specific meaning to Bhuvana? or a literal meaning of a plane?

I don't know. That's why I posted the question.
The part I am reading currently is Sutra 4 It's really interesting.
That's why i don't want to miss any meaning hidden.

5:37 AM
what is the context?

Sutra 4 says "Gyanadhishthanam Matrika"
Meaning, It is an ununderstood Mother or Power of sound inherent in the alphabet that is the basis of limited knowledge.

Are you reading an English Translation?

Yes
While the shlokas are written in Sanskrit only

5:55 AM
link for that

Page number 14/25
Can you read Sanskrit ? @Nog

@TheLittleNaruto Yes
What is this change? 14/25?

Just look for page number 25

Where is Kalaas and Bhuvanas?

oh
Page number 28
check 1st and 2nd para

@TheLittleNaruto Some texts like Divya Prabandham written by Alwars havemany hidden meanings. By just looking them plainly and literally, its main meaning is lost and not even understood. E.g my recent answer.

@NogShine True.

These are the notes added by Translator.
It is not a plane. This I can confirm

6:35 AM
@NogShine - BTW found some solid mentioning of firearms and cannons in various scripture , going to answer soon .. Stay tuned😀

@NogShine - I was wondering ,why anyone noticed about mentioning of advance warfare weapons like catapults , cannons , handguns etc. mentioned in very authoritative hinduism scripture , and tried to prove that they were invented by Hindus , and were known here 5000 years before them.

7:15 AM
@NogShine even there is mentioning of Motor-Boats in our scripture 🚤 - 😀

Badarayana and Krishna Dwaipayana are one and the same. What is the story of Badarayana Vyasa?Sarvabhouma 16 mins ago
I commented on the question.
@SwiftPushkar Really?

@NogShine Really really ... see above Mahabharata Flying planes are there .. why not boats 😀
@NogShine upvoted , and alredy 2 q.

@SwiftPushkar Yantra is not necessarily mean motor. It is something which withstands waves and air.

@NogShine Yes , but yantra can not be a static device , it should contain moving parts .

Q: Which scriptures describe the 22nd Jain Tirthankara Neminath?

Surya Kanta Bose ChowdhuryAccording to this Jain site, many Hindu scriptures mention 1st Jain Tirthankara Rishabha (who the Jain tradition considered the founder of their tradition) and the 22nd Tirthankara Neminath: Myth # 1 – Jainism was founded by Mahavira Swami. The Truth- Jainism is an ancient religion that ...

There were wheel and pulley, some gear to move the boat. Motor is advanced

Yantra can be anything which can accelerate you or your mind, for example A wife

@TheLittleNaruto lol , still is a moving kind of mechanism . ..😂--👍

Q: Has there always been an undercurrent of conflict between Brahmins and Kshatriyas?

S KBrahmins usually claimed top status, but its not clear if Kshatriyas always accepted it. You have examples like Vasishta - Vishwamitra conflict, parashurama killing kshatriyas and Buddhists not accepting Brahmin superiority.

Q: Does any Hindu scripture say anything to the effect "all men (and women) are created equal"?

S KThere are quotations to the effect that one's caste is not by birth - I don't mean that. Some sects may say all members of the sect are equal and I don't mean that either. Does it say anywhere in Hindu scripture something like "All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. T...

Q: Should there be an "unclose" vote?

S Kpeople start voting to close a question and those who don't want it closed have to wait for the closers to gather their 5 votes and only then try to re-open it. If they express their opinion earlier, perhaps the closers would see the writing on the wall and not put everybody through a lot of has...

Q: why isn't my post showing up?

S KHave there been instances of rivalry between Brahmins and Kshatriyas? If I search for it I can see it - but it doesn't show up in the list of posts.

Q: Are there "sacred cow" topics here?

S KModerators have suggested staying away from emotionally charged topics like siva vs vishnu. Is the caste system another topic people are encouraged to stay away from?
