Q: What is the source of this mantra- "Achyutananda Govindaya Namaha"?

SalvationPlease provide name of the scripture, author and link to download the scripture.

@Hinduismbot @SuryaKantaBoseChowdhury, while editing, always make sure that the post of the body contains the question as well, not just the title.
@NogShine Yeah, that's one nice place. Stayed there for a week, people spoke in clear English. (Secunderabad was weird, as in people didn't know much English/Hindi).
@TheLittleNaruto Shivaji received his sword from Ambabhavani, in Tuljapur, Maharashtra. Ask Swift, he'll be knowing more about it.
@NogShine I last visited that place when I was 8 years old. I liked that place because they gave Ice Cream as prasad. :p
@TheLittleNaruto No wonder you edited my answer to change it from Bihar to Jharkhand :p (J/K)

5:06 AM
@BhargavRao :D
@BhargavRao Ok cc @SwiftPushkar

That's one place where I want to visit again and again.
You kinda get that peace of mind which you're searching.

Which place ?
Sri Sailam ?

Tuljapur

Never visited

I visited SriSailam when I was 1 year old. Don't remember much. :/

Yup, I'll certainly visit.
I need to visit 6 more Jyothirlingas.

@BhargavRao - yes , that's what we know abt. the sword ,and also his Simhasana (seat) was were full of precious gems , I think its in queens museum in uk .:-)

Yeah, I want to visit UK only to see that Victoria and Albert museum.
Have you gone to Shivaji Museum in Mumbai?

@BhargavRao No unfortunately no , but will plan it , Mumbai is just 130 from my place , a weekend trip . Also have to visit elephanta caves and will take ferry to alibaug . :-)

@TheDestroyer Can you read full hindi ?
@BhargavRao oh you clicked it GRt. Superb 👌🏼

@SwiftPushkar Yes. I can read and write Hindi. I can even speak basic phrases. But if it has lots of urdu words, i find it difficult to understand. I can understand TV shows like Mahadev.

@TheDestroyer - ok wait ..

@BhargavRao There are some good Twitter handles which post about Architecture of Temples and Statues.

@SwiftPushkar When you visit Mumbai, don't forget to go to Khaneri caves. It's in Borivali.
@TheDestroyer Ooh, nice. Do share them!
Any idea what that symbol means? (It was from a Buddhist stupa in Khaneri)

5:43 AM
The sad thing is, people have sacrificed animals inside the caves and the walls have turned black. :/

@BhargavRao - Even lenyadri ashtavinayak cave similar stupa is there .

Lenyadri was also quite good.
Girijatmaka Ganesha is present there.

@BhargavRao ohh.. Even near Srisailam there are some caves and recently Narabali was performed there. Saddest news. Those caves are for Yoga.

@BhargavRao Yeah

KumarOne of my relatives told me do not listen to unknown mantra showing on you-tube since do not know the actual meaning of the mantra and not surely correct pronunciation. How to identify the real good mantra from bad one ? can I chat the mantra appear in the google search engine? is there any books...

5:46 AM
@TheDestroyer Srisailam is still in AP, right? Or has it gone to Telangana?
There's this place called Lepakshi on K'taka AP border. That's another awesome place to visit.

@BhargavRao No. AP only. Krishna river is border.

Ah, cool. I don't need to edit my answer. :p

Kandariya Mahadev Temple at Khajuraho

@SwiftPushkar I like all kinda architecture. I've spent 14 days in Delhi, roamed around all the Mughal buildings, they were also magnificent.
@TheDestroyer Madhya Pradesh is another nice place. Khajuraho, Ujjain and Omkar.

@BhargavRao Yes.

5:54 AM
@BhargavRao Yes , Bibi Ka Maqbara - aurangabad is replica of Taj

@SwiftPushkar I have visited this place.
Aurangabad. Ellora and Grishneswara Jyotirlinga.

@SwiftPushkar Yup, I've visited that place as well, and ofc Kailashnath ;)

@TheDestroyer oh grt. i think while u visited Ajintha -Verul caves :-)

The entrance of Grishneshwara Temple is just 4ft.

@BhargavRao Yes. Kailashanatha temple is amazing. There are speculations by westerners that Aliens built Kailasanatha temple.

5:56 AM
Yup. They don't know that it's actually the Rashtrakuta king Krishna I who built it. :D
I've not seen Ajanta, I need to go there.

@TheDestroyer Yes , it perfectly looks alien work .
@BhargavRao When your study program is going to end ?

I visited Bhimashankar (another place near @Swift), in 2004, and then again in 2014. Felt sad the second time.
People had cut down almost 90% of the trees.

@SwiftPushkar Morning!

@TheLittleNaruto yes Hii , How are you :-)

@SwiftPushkar June 2019.

5:58 AM
@SwiftPushkar Good so far, How about you ?

@BhargavRao haha yes , Shekaru is famous there.
@TheLittleNaruto Yes me too , today is bt free , will try to post some answers .

There, they were selling some kinda weird flowers from the forest (in 2004). They remained fresh for some 2 months.
I searched everywhere for that in the 2014 trip, but I didn't find any.

@BhargavRao At Bhimashankar ? Do tell me its description , i will try to find more abt. it , like color etc. I am planing to go over there on 13 Maha-Shivaratri .

@SwiftPushkar Great. Answer my question then :P

@TheLittleNaruto Yes please .

6:02 AM
@SwiftPushkar Check my profile, only one question is unanswered.

@SwiftPushkar Alien is Vishwakarma. 😀😀
@SwiftPushkar Wow! great bro. Do they allow to touch Shiva Linga there on Mahashivaratri?

@SwiftPushkar I would, if I remembered that. I searched almost everywhere, asked the people there, the flower vendors, tempo drivers, everyone, but I didn't find it. The flower was bright, but it was dry and the petals were a bit thick. I searched online as well, I didn't find them.

@TheDestroyer No , no time for that , and they do not allow because of grt. rush but may in Shravan Somawara.
@BhargavRao Ok but what was its color ? itt will be easy for us to identify on the basis of such factors .

Orangish.

@TheLittleNaruto Yes , i will check itt and will try :-)
@BhargavRao Single color or multicolor , may be a seasonal orchid .

6:07 AM
Btw, @SwiftPushkar, do you know that the trees in Bhimashankar forests have bioluminescent fungi? So many research teams had come to study those.

@SwiftPushkar Thanks :-)

@SwiftPushkar multicolor, but shades of orange.

@BhargavRao Yes , heard abt. that Maruti Chitampalli in his books describing some of them , He is head of MH Forest department . And a grt. expertise in forests of MH . I am having his books , i will update you aft. reading it again later on.

6:10 AM
@TheLittleNaruto Yes , butt probably not possible today ,but in time .

@SwiftPushkar but*
@SwiftPushkar Yeah! Take your time. No hurry!

@SwiftPushkar, BTW, I dunno if they've banned cameras now, but if they haven't, do share some photos. (in 2014, they hadn't, but that's 4 years back)

@TheLittleNaruto haha , ok will try today itself , but currently working on 4 . So u are in Q .😀
@BhargavRao Yeah , photography is not allowed inside or near to linga , but will send you some photos of outside , But expect lot of people in photos 😀

@SwiftPushkar 😀

I miss that 2004 trip, I was 10 years old, had just then bought a Konica camera, each click was so damn precious. Now, when I visited Mumbai last year, I clicked some 300 pictures in Elephanta. :D

6:14 AM
@SwiftPushkar Maharastra tops the list with 4 (or 3) Jyotirlingas

@TheDestroyer 5

@BhargavRao Yes. Bhimashankar, Triyambakeswara, grishneswara, Vaidyanath and Nageswara
if Nageswar is in Gujarat, 4

Triambak (Nashik), Grishneshwar (Aurangabad), Aundha (Hingoli), Parli (Beed) and Bhimashankar (Khed).
Kinda remember that whole trip, along with the district names. xD

@BhargavRao Generally it is believed here, Nagnatheswar is in Gujarat Darukavana near Dwaraka.

Vaidyanath is also believed to be in Jharkhand.
Grishneshwar is also believed to be in Rajasthan.
I double count all of them.

6:17 AM
#Triggered

@BhargavRao Yes. As per telugu Bhakti channels, Parli has Vaidyanath. Haha.
@BhargavRao Yes.
Bhimashankara, Bhimpur - near Puri
Vaidyanatha in Dharmasthala Himalayas
Less known.

Ooh, even that's also not confirmed. :|
Btw, is there a question on who the Dakinis are?
> ..... Dakinyam Bhimashankara ....

@BhargavRao Forest i think.

@BhargavRao Haha yes , its one among Unesco World Heritage Site and one of the world’s eight biodiversity hotspots, but unfortunately fastly becoming endangered , cities are growing at high and coming near to the forest.

@TheDestroyer then what about this line in Khadgamala:
> .... Dakini puthanayaksharaksha kushmanadaje bhaye ....

6:23 AM
@BhargavRao There are also some creatures called Dakinis.

I'm not quite convinced that it's just a forest. Even the priests there tell that it's just the name of the forest, but I think it's connected to the Dakinis.
@TheDestroyer yup, that's my question ---^^

Q: What is the story of Bheemshankar Jyotirlinga?

Triyugi Narayan ManiLord Shiva has been worshipped in Linga form from time beginning as described in answer here. Among the Lingas there are 12 Jyotirlingas which are of special importance. Mahatmya of 12 Jyotirlingas is described in Koti Rudra Samhita of Shiva Purana in the chapter "Dwadash Jyotirlinga Mahatmya". ...

As per Shiva Purana, Bhima lived in Daakini forest. But legend behind that forest might have some connection to Dakinis.

Hmm, not sure when I have upvoted that answer. I don't even remember reading it.

Q: What is the story and significance of Dashashwamedh Ghat?

Triyugi Narayan ManiDashashwamedh Ghat is one of the famous Ghats of of river Ganga in Varanasi (Kashi). It is mentioned on the official site of Varanasi that Lord Brahma has performed ten horse sacrifices their. This is the most busiest and the ancient most referred ghat. According to the myth related to Divoda...

> Bholenath listened to the devotees and stayed there as a JyotirLinga forever.That's why the JyotirLinga is called Daakine
Still not convinced.

6:32 AM
@BhargavRao Actually Shiva Purana doesn't mention details about names. For example, Mallikarjuna is named after Arjuna tree.
Devi as Mallika climbs Arjuna tree.

Yeah, which is why I think, many of these questions can never be answered.

Hence, Mallikarjuna.
Skanda Purana answers these questions.

Huh, then can you let me know if you find an answer? I'll ask a question on the main site, as well. Thanks!

But South Indians versions of Puranas are somewhat different. What we have on this site are Bombay manuscripts and Bengal editions.

6:36 AM
@BhargavRao Good where is it?

In the 2004 rewrite of Mahabharata. (So I can't add it as an answer :p)

@BhargavRao I searched the Ganguli edition. I found no mention of it.

From the book "The Mahabharata: A Modern Rendering - By Ramesh Menon"

Is it an addition by the author?

Might be. I don't know if I can add that as an answer.

6:39 AM
You are free to do so.
At least which parva is it present?

Ok, I'll add it, but I still think that your answer is correct.
@NogShine it's divided into chapters, in his book. The 9th chapter.

Q: Which scriptures describe Abhimanyu's marriage?

Bhargav RaoThe plot of the very popular Telugu film Mayabazaar, revolves around the marriage of Abhimanyu. The brief story is: Balarama wanted to marry his daughter Sashirekha to Lakshmana Kumara, who was the son of Duryodhana. However Abhimanyu falls in love with her and seeks Krishna's help to get marrie...

Ah! you asked it finally.

Yup.

She is known as Vatsala in TN

Oh nice, I did not know that.

In the Tamil version of the movie, the character name is Vatsala
You can also add as it is a story or might be a folklore

7:58 AM
Ironic stuff, Krishna prevented his niece from marrying a Kaurava, but did not prevent his own son from marrying one.
Done

Another reason they say that Balarama is more fond of Duryodhana because he is his student.

Time to sleep, it's 12 here.

but lesser known fact is Bhima is also a student of Balarama and learnt mace fighting and chariot driving skills.
@BhargavRao Good night!

Yeah, Balarama in the end tells to Bhima that he's using underhand tactics by fighting below the waist.
@NogShine Ah, I did not know that as well.

@TriyugiNarayanMani Even I have a question about significance of tirthas located on banks of North flowing rivers. At Kashi, Ganga flows in northern direction.
Places located on North flowing rivers are very sacred.

8:14 AM
@NogShine Thanks
You all are into Softwares ?

8:26 AM
@TheDestroyer Great. BTW when are you visiting Kashi?

@TriyugiNarayanMani 12, 13 and 14. 10th train.

@TheDestroyer Ok. I will be there tomorrow.

@TriyugiNarayanMani ohh.. Till?

@TheDestroyer 8th only.

@TriyugiNarayanMani ohh.. ok. I thought we could meet.

8:30 AM
@TheDestroyer I was writing the same :)

@TriyugiNarayanMani :)

I will also be visiting Vindhyavasini devi

@TriyugiNarayanMani Where is it located?
Near kashi?

yes 60km away from Kashi

@TriyugiNarayanMani Ok.
I think i can add this place. But i'm in dilemma to visit Prayag or not.

8:33 AM
Prayaga is awesome
But visiting Vindhyavasini will hardly take 4-5 hours
You can see iff you have time.

@TriyugiNarayanMani Yes. But train is at 2 AM in Allahabad and my mother might feel uncomfortable. metaphorically, Triveni Sangamam denotes three Nadis.

@TheDestroyer 2AM at Varanasi?
oh. allahabad

@TriyugiNarayanMani 11 i think at Mughlasarai. But Ganga Kaveri is at 4:00 clock. Allahabad
Ganga Kaveri comes to Kashi at 1.10
It shouldn't matter much, But will try to go to Prayag.

@TheDestroyer Great.

@TriyugiNarayanMani Mirzapur?

8:38 AM
@TheDestroyer Yes

@TheDestroyer Yes
She is the sister of Lord Krishna

@TheDestroyer Did you get Tatkaal tickets?

@TheDestroyer BTW which places of Kashi you will visit?

@TriyugiNarayanMani Ok. Will do consider this place.
@TriyugiNarayanMani Temples mostly. Vishwanath, Annapurana, Vishalakshi, Kala Bhairava temples. Will see what other places i can visit. Will stay at manikarnika at lingodbava time.

8:43 AM
@TheDestroyer That will be great. I would suggest you to visit both Vishwanatha temples old and new.

@TriyugiNarayanMani New temple BHU?

There is also a beautiful temple Tulsi Manas Mandir you may want to add in your wishlist.
@TheDestroyer yes

@TriyugiNarayanMani Yes. Also, Durga Mata temple. Sankat Mochan hanuma temple.

@TheDestroyer yes

@TriyugiNarayanMani Do they allow us to Jnanavapi well? Water of Jnanavapi well is more sacred than Ganga

8:47 AM
@TheDestroyer When I last visited, it was not allowed.

Ok. Skanda Purana says Iswara created well and Visheswara Linga is anointed with Jnanawapi well waters and Ganga came to Kashi later when Bhagiratha did Tapasya to liberate his ancestors.

@TheDestroyer OK. Didn't knew that.

Keshav SrinivasanI'm currently visiting India, and I just went to Srivilliputhur, which is the birthplace of two of the 12 Alwars, namely Periyalwar and his daughter Andal.
