@KeshavSrinivasan Hello
@Mr_Green I want to encourage visitor to vote for Yes or No. so I've posted separately. If there is anything that will be more effective for getting review of community, suggest me.

4:51 AM
What is the literal meaning of Vishishtadvaita in English term (like non-duality in case of Advaita)?

5:07 AM
@Pandya Vishistadvaita means qualified-nondualism in english...

@Tezz ok
I've used "Advaita with uniqueness; qualifications"
Consider to review this and this

@Pandya you believe in Advaita or Vishistadvaita ?...

@Tezz Advaita
you?

@Pandya ok... I did....
@Pandya I also believe in Advaita... but still not satisfied completely...

Yes, I visited your (about me) profile and sounds Advaita
by the way which languages do you know @Tezz?

5:15 AM
@Pandya I know Nepali, English, Hindi, somehow little Sanskrit....
@Pandya you?...

Gujarati, Hindi and English
@Tezz I mostly satisfied with Advaita. The only one thing that I've discussed in chat before (that is):
Apr 20 at 12:23, by Pandya
**Due to ignorance (avidyā), Brahman is perceived as the material world and its objects (nama rupa vikara).** According to Shankara, Brahman is in reality attributeless and formless. Brahman, the highest truth and all (Reality), does not really change; it is only our ignorance that gives the appearance of change. **Also due to avidyā, the true identity is forgotten, and material reality, which manifests at various levels, is mistaken as the only and true reality.**

***The notion of avidyā and its relationship to Brahman creates a crucial philosophical issue within Advaita Vedanta thought:

@Pandya what is the cause which caused duality now which we perceive (although it is false)...?
@Pandya if there is Brahman only... how Avidya came...?

@Tezz Exactly note the line:
> The notion of avidyā and its relationship to Brahman creates a crucial philosophical issue within Advaita Vedanta thought: how can avidyā appear in Brahman, since Brahman is pure consciousness?
sorry I didn't understand chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/message/30202389#30202389 can you again?

@Pandya we see duality now (even if it is due to Avidya)... what is the cause for that?...

ok
@Tezz and what is not satisfied for you? same point that I've discussed?

5:23 AM
@Pandya yes, same point... can you explain for the answer?....

which answer?

@Pandya your question;
The notion of avidyā and its relationship to Brahman creates a crucial philosophical issue within Advaita Vedanta thought: how can avidyā appear in Brahman, since Brahman is pure consciousness?

I don't have answer for that
or say I can't answer
Can you?

@Pandya I think it can't be answered when inside Avidya...

ok

5:28 AM
@Pandya may be the answer is inside "He wished and he became many..."
@Pandya I have heard Vasanas cause maya... but even if we say then there comes question how vasana came?...

Presently I've accepted myself that: All the questions and confusions are originated from mind and mind is not capable to understand the absolute/ultimate truth.
Kenopanishad 2.3 to 2.8 and "यतो वाचो निवर्तन्ते । अप्राप्य मनसा सह ।..." from Taittariya Upanishad 2.4.1 and 2.9.1

@Pandya read my answer here:... My view is like that...

Q: What is the Position of Maya(illusion) as per Advaita doctrine? (Or According to Advaita is Maya superior to Supreme brahman?)

Vishal prabhu lawandeAs per Advaita school of Vedanta; living entity is identical to supreme brahman. Advaitins generally interpret 'Aham Brahmasmi' as 'I'm supreme Brahman'(please correct me if i'm wrong). We are Brahman but right now covered by ignorance(Maya). so my question is 1.Does that mean Maya is superior...

that I've also discuses here

@Pandya In Kenopanishad... who is Uma?.. Is she Parvati?...

let me read your answer

5:33 AM
@Pandya I had already read your answer...

excellent answer +1
@Tezz She is Parvatirupini Brahmavishya

@Pandya you mean Brahmavidya...

yes, ब्रह्मविद्या

@Pandya I also think she is Parvati... but personified Brahmavidya... That story also occurs in Shiva Purana...
Also Shiva Purana says 'Parvati Paramadevi Brahmavidya Pradaayani..."

@Tezz thanks for sharing with me. I've not read Shiva Purana

5:43 AM
@Pandya also Uma is formed by interchanging Pranava beeja... In Om syllables are 'aa uu ma'... In Uma syllables are 'uu ma aa'

I also heard/read it somewhere (interchanging Pranava beeja)

@Pandya I have also not read fully... I think @TheDestroyer has read it all...

Have you read Gaudapada Karika?

@Pandya I haven't read... can you give me it's pdf download link?...

I've read it from the book the I've; Visit chat.stackexchange.com/rooms/15189/conversation/…
I heavily recommend reading Mandukya Upanishad with Gaudapada Karika for Advaiti.

5:52 AM
@Pandya Isn't Mandukya Upanishad just of 12 verses?
@Pandya ok I'll get from there...

Also visit this and this post where I've discussed about it and used verse from it
Advaita Vedanta is a school of Hindu philosophy and religious practice, and one of the classic Indian paths to spiritual realization. Advaita (Sanskrit; not-two, "no second") refers to the idea that the true Self, Atman, is the same as the highest Reality, Brahman. It gives "a unifying interpretation of the whole body of Upanishads", providing scriptural authority for the postulation of the nonduality of Atman and Brahman. Followers seek liberation/release by acquiring vidyā (knowledge) of the identity of Atman and Brahman. It emphasizes Jivanmukta, the idea that moksha (freedom, liberation) is...
@Tezz actually Mandukya Upanishad is of 12 verse, Guadapada has written his work on it which is called Gaudapada Karika or Mandukya Karika. Visit above link.

@Pandya nice answers...

I've searched; you can read it (in English) from swamij.com/upanishad-mandukya-karika.htm or Sanskrit-English book is available at archive.org/details/Gaudapada-Karika.English

@Pandya but Mandukya just explains Omkara... what has Gaudapada commented in it... hinduism.stackexchange.com/questions/11579/…

Gaudapad Karika has four prakaran (chapter)
1. Aagam

5:59 AM
@Pandya oh thanks for the link.. it seems Gaudapada Karika is excellent...

2. Vaitathya
3. Advaita
4. Alat Shanti
Aagma (1) Chapter constitutes the 12 verses of Mandukya Upanishads

@Pandya oh.. thanks for your information...

Search for Sanskrit-Hindi book if you want.
ok ;nice to talk with you @Tezz

@Pandya I don't want Sanskrit Hindi for Upanishads... English works well...
@Pandya ok...
@Pandya nice to talk to you too...

Although the verses like this are used in the Sandhyavandanam and citing statements. “Shivaya Vishnu roopaya , Shivarup...

@Tezz that's I read but I am thinking if he has written in any of his scripture?

4:05 PM
I think @KeshavSrinivasan is not listening me this onwards!

5:03 PM
@Pandya Haha, sorry, I haven't been seeing them. Concerning the site you mentioned here, thanks. Yeah, I've seen a lots of sources speculate that what Ghora Angirasa taught Krishna Devakiputra in the Chandogya Upanishad is similar to what Krishna taught Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita.
@Pandya But I have still not found a single mention in either Hindu scripture or the works of Acharyas which discusses the issue of whether this Krishna Devakiputra has any connection to the famous Krishna. As far as I can tell, until Europeans came to India, no one seems to have even noticed the similarity of names, which is really strange.
@Pandya Concerning learning about Visistadvaita, yeah, the Sri Bhashya is an excellent source.
@Pandya Also Ramanujacharya's Vedartha Sangraha.
@Pandya Or if you prefer modern books on Visistadvaita, check out the works of S.M. Srinivasachari.

@Pandya I don't know where he has written... but I had heard a long discourse on Advaita... And these terms were frequently mentioned there...
