Q: Do inevitable prarabdhas exist?

hanugmPrarabdha is a type of Karma that a living organism undergoes during its life time. Many scriptures suggests that prarabhas that affects human negatively (leading to bad experiences) can be avoided or diluted by the performing some activities prescribed in scriptures. Is it true for all possible ...

@sv. nice! I will ignore the sarcasm and say that the day all those things happen, would be the day Bharat truly becomes itself once again :) Because no other major civilization talks about its own matters of deepest significance in a foreign language medium. E.g. China, Japan, Korea, Saudi Arabia, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, heck even the UK. @TheLittleNaruto
@TheLittleNaruto It is used in the beginning as an invocation. It is commonly used as invocation for Vedic chanting along with some others like the नि षु सीद, प्र णो देवी सरस्वती, शतधारमुत्सं, etc.
@sv. just curious... do you speak any Indian languages?

3:35 PM
@TheLittleNaruto @RamAbloh @RakeshJoshi he said Ahalya did not actually turn into stone, she became like stone, her body became like stone - stiff and hard and no thoughts in the mind, sort of a coma, Serious, emotionless. A lot of siddha and holy people had powers to badly affected people
Ramji being Ramji, a god, by his mere touch, being a siddha purush also relieved her of this stone-like state of hers and made her filled with emotions and human like, flexible, eating drinking etc again
He said it’s like saying - उस पर संकट का पहाड़ टूट गया does not literally mean that a mountain comes flying or पत्थर दिल होना doesn’t necessarily mean your heart is made of stone.
Ahalya with the shraap become emotionless, motionless, absolutely stiff and hard. And of course the lord performs his leela on her
She could speak again and became normal again

4:03 PM
@RamAbloh So while chanting Sri Rudram, we also invoke other Gods, right?
@RamAbloh True that
@Archit Woah! This explanation sounds more logical and true. Very nice findings!

@RamAbloh Telugu's my mother tongue. Although I don't consider it divine, descended from Shiva and so forth as many users of this site seem to think of Sanskrit. I like all languages, but I'm not willing to die for it. I prefer to spend my energies on content/message, language is secondary to me.
@RamAbloh 'Because no other major civilization talks about its own matters of deepest significance in a foreign language medium' - Sanskrit stopped being a spoken language long ago. It's Sanskrit's fault if it could not gain popularity in India and survive. IMO, there's no point reviving a dead language.
@RamAbloh 'would be the day Bharat truly becomes itself once again' - I find this utopian kind of thinking quite dangerous. Because, in history, there was never truly a time when "all things were good". This notion of "glorious past" was portrayed in Puranas too when they say in Satya-yuga everyone was a brahmana, with very high morals, perfect society, "rama rajya", etc. In reality, no such thing existed.
