If you have the time and patience, then Mahabharata. The reason being when you get wisdom out of nowhere, it seems of lesser value. Only when you understand the life of the Pandavas and the experiences they have gone through, you'll really understand the greatness of Krishna as a teacher.

If you want to learn Yogas e.g, Karma Yoga, Karma Sannyasa, Bhakti, Jnana Yoga and vedantic and samkhya concepts in general then BG is short and sweet :)
@HinduKid Mahabharata is again a volumetric text which includes some stories which you may find in Purana or Brahmanas. Mahabharata also contains philosophical preaching in Shanti parva and rest of the text contains the detailed war of Kurukshetra.
