Good day. I was wondering if there can be astrological birth dates and time where ill affects of planets are absent. Is it theoretically possible or does everyone have at least some (even if negligible) affects of planets? Please provide me some insights on this. I was not sure if this was on-topic on the main site.

5:57 AM
@SeverusSnape You should ask this to @SwapnilDas ; He knows better in this area.

@HinduKid Want me to comment?

@SwapnilDas Yes.. Im Asking.. ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿง

If you have the time and patience, then Mahabharata. The reason being when you get wisdom out of nowhere, it seems of lesser value. Only when you understand the life of the Pandavas and the experiences they have gone through, you'll really understand the greatness of Krishna as a teacher.

3:02 PM
@SwapnilDas is 9PM..OK..I have to go for Dinner now..

@HinduKid It's 8:32 lol, but anyway. Answer given.

Yes.I take Dinner at 8.30..😆 😆
Ill come at 9PM

Sure, ok.
@TheLittleNaruto and @SeverusSnape If I could keep it very simple, the answer is a resounding no. Ping me if you want further explanation, otherwise fine.

3:32 PM
@SwapnilDas ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰
@SwapnilDas Yes..I know that..Mahabharata = Bhagavad Gita + Remainig Stories of Pandavas...but what is Bhagavatam?/

@HinduKid Another book.

@TheLittleNaruto Welcome to Hinduism chatroom :)

@HinduKid Like it has stories of Krishna.

Completely Different, another Book?..
It has no connection, to Bhagavadgita?
@SwapnilDas So.. Bhagavatam = Krishna Stories + Pandav Stories +Bhagavad Gita

@HinduKid Srimad Bhagvatam, it's a mahapurana basically.

3:43 PM
Hey Guys @SwapnilDas @HinduKid

@TheLittleNaruto Hi!

What's up?

@HinduKid Nope. Many other things.
@TheLittleNaruto Just having dinner and chilling, you?

@SwapnilDas Just had dinner; saw you guys having discussion, so joined.

@HinduKid It's a Vishnu text. Not a Krsna specific one.
@TheLittleNaruto Nice.

3:45 PM
Many Other Things added?..
or like..Krishan Stories + Many Other Stories..
but no, Pandava Stories, and Bhagvadgita

-- Poem 92, Lalleshvari Devi
She had already attained moksha while alive.

@HinduKid It mentions Bhagavad Gita in first Canto.

My all books are in Bangalore, so I bought Vijyanbhairava by Jaideva Singh

@SwapnilDas Bhagvad Gita, in detailed.. Or just few Mentions,,

But it has stories about many avatars of Vishnu.
@HinduKid Mentions.

3:49 PM
@SwapnilDas I think you're confusing it with Vishnu Purana? I might be wrong.

It asserts that studying the Gita is enough for attaining Moksha.
@TheLittleNaruto I don't know about Vishnu Purana. But I guess Srimad Bhagavat Purana is that what I'm talking about.

Because Vishnu Purana deals with all the avatara of Lord Vishnu including Krishna Avatara

Vishnu Purana has philosophy also.
Srimad Bhagatavam doesn't.
Philosophy in the sense Hindu cosmology.

I don't know lol; I have zero knowledge in Purana because of no interest.

@TheLittleNaruto Same lol.

3:54 PM
You should ping @Pandya for Bhagwatam related question.@HinduKid
@SwapnilDas Did you read the poem I shared above?

Yup.

@TheLittleNaruto ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

So..Who is Youngest God?..and Who is Oldest?..

Youngest group- Ganesha, Kartikeya?

Interesting question

Which should I read..among those..?
Which Text is Smaller among those.. 😉😉

@HinduKid Bhagavad Gita is part of Mahabharata.
Mahabharata is a historical description of Krishna's period and Ramayana is that of Rama's whereas Puranas are written by Vyasa.
Vyasa wanted to preach dharma through simple and interesting text for those people who may not be able to grasp Vedas.

@Pandya ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

4:12 PM
and hence he wrote Puranas.

@HinduKid The smallest text is the one which you want to read. If you want knowledge, you'll never feel the length.

Puranas contain many things Vedic preaching, description of some rituals, many divine and kingdom history, philosophy, Emphasize on Bhakti, Yoga and so on....
@HinduKid Bhagavad Gita is smallest among three you have mentioned.

@Pandya OK..ThankYou.. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

If you want to learn Yogas e.g, Karma Yoga, Karma Sannyasa, Bhakti, Jnana Yoga and vedantic and samkhya concepts in general then BG is short and sweet :)

@Pandya ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

4:17 PM
If you want to learn from Rama's life then Ramayana.

Have You Read Bhagvad Gita In Detail?..
Like Vividly Remember all Verses, Imagination..

😏 😏 😏

@SwapnilDas @Pandya @HinduKid Should we start Bhagwat Gita after Ishvasya Upanishad ?

@HinduKid Mahabharata is again a volumetric text which includes some stories which you may find in Purana or Brahmanas. Mahabharata also contains philosophical preaching in Shanti parva and rest of the text contains the detailed war of Kurukshetra.

@TheLittleNaruto Anything you like. I'm fine.

@Pandya yes.. I understood that..

@SwapnilDas Cool

@HinduKid Well, "God" is not a proper term to use here, I think Ishwar or Parameshwara (Paramatma), Devas (deities) would be more precise terms.\
Regarding description of Devas, there is a considerable difference between describing of them by Vedas, Puranas and Tantras.

Edit Time-Out.. 😟 😟

So..Who is Youngest Devas?..and Who is Oldest Devas?.

Yaganti(Uma-Maheshwara) temple, Andhra Pradesh

@HinduKid To understand and know Vedic Devas in better way, I would suggest to read BrihadDevata of Shaunakacharya

@Pandya OK..ThankYou.. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

@SwapnilDas Please elaborate a little bit on the astrology question. Do you mean anyone irrespective of when they are born on any date and any time has some affect of planets?

0
Q: The way of the Swan

Lucky PashuWhere we can find the well known sลโ€™ham specifically referred to Siva? Which Tantra/Slokas or any related text repeat this celebrated mantra as a form of worship to Mahadev?

5:27 PM
@SeverusSnape @SeverusSnape Hi, so I guess I need to elaborate.
So see our birth on this planet has happened due to either a cleanse our adharma, or a bandhana.
If it is a bandhana, Rahu in our chart will show that. If it's an adharma, there's Shani.
Shani because it will punish us for what we have done, and teach us lessons.
So wherever on earth you are born, these two planets will 'always' be in your chart, no?
Therefore, suffering is inevitable if you are born.
So what's the solution? There must be Rahu somewhere in your chart, stop thinking about that aspect of your life.
And speaking very directly, do whatever is 10th to Ketu in your chart.
As Ketu in mokshakaraka and 10th is karma, 10th to ketu is karma you need to get moksha.
For eg: My Ketu is in 12th house, 10th to it is Mars in 9th. So I've to 'aggressively fight'(Mars) for Dharma (9th house).
If I do this, I'll be closer to closing my cycles of rebirth.
@SeverusSnape I hope you got your answer.
