@ThoriumBR I'm often baffled as to how the algorithm chooses what to bump. I mean questions with unaccepted answers, or answers all with a score of 0 make sense to bump, but sometimes I cannot find any logic
@CaffeineAddiction openwrt fork by default
You can install whatever you want tho
I run a unholy monstrosity of Ubuntu and firewalld for example

bumping a question from 12 years ago, for instance... I doubt OP is still interested, or anyone else is interested in something not answered for more than a decade...
@ThoriumBR that feels like that's something that ought to be re-examined
it's only delaying the death... new questions are rare, interesting new questions even more, and bringing back ancient questions isn't interesting
@CaffeineAddiction the 'nicer' versions do 10 gig cheaper than most options
@ThoriumBR Well yeah, I know
people still answering will rack up a lot of "necromancer" badges... and that's it...
they should change its requirements to "Answer a question more than 6 years later with score of 5 or more. This badge can be awarded multiple times."
or create a "paleontologist" badge or something: answering a question more than a decade later

I wonder where all the people new to infosec are asking questions now... ChatGPT? Reddit?
4:18 PM
I mean, I play 20 questions w/ ChatGPT before I even consider posting online anymore
4:42 PM
@CaffeineAddiction I wonder how well it answers infosec questions
I mean it helped me muddle through a StrongSwan -> SonicWall configuration (never touched IPSec prior to that)
im sure if you go deep into the weeds on crypto it would prob fall flat
4.0 adds in the BrowserOP & WolframAlpha plugins ... so it fixes the issue w/ it not having up to date training data and math issues
you can still get it pretty stuck ... but it was pretty solid to start with and its only getting better
granted I have been in the IT industry for more than 10 years (damn, im getting old) and can tell when its bullshiting me most of the time ... but its a tool like anything else
prob amazing for red team if they didnt declaw the crap out of it when asking anything it flags as being in the "grey area" ... though this is prob for the best as it also declaws it for random script kiddys online too

over 10 years and getting old? I'm over the 20 year mark already...
