3 days ago? come on... thanksgiving and black friday and cyber monday are keeping you all busy?
wrote my first powershell script today... a client had a catastrophic exchange failure, and lost the mailbox databases. I got there, found a windows backup, and found that every user had no mailbox anymore on the AD.
so I wrote this script that iterates the AD, finds every user and sets the homeMDB property for it... after finishing I will force a directory replication, and run the second part that starts the mailbox recovery for each one

2 hours later…
8:56 PM
@ThoriumBR I hate powershell. It's way too complicated for me. The only way I can ever manage to write a working powershell script is copy paste stuff from the internet.
@ThoriumBR How does a holiday make someone busy?

I had never wrote a line of powershell before
@nobody family, cleaning, fixing things that your niece broke when playing soccer with a coconut...

@ThoriumBR Football with a coconut? I have to try that

or a bowling ball...

A bowling ball will hurt...

I spent the last week working until early morning (or late night, depending on perspective), and today is a local holiday here... it's good to know that tonight I will have time to sleep and my sleep tracking app will not scream at me for sleeping 3h for the 4th consecutive day

9:03 PM
@ThoriumBR I have no idea how people manage that sort of thing. I can stay up late for one night, but more than that just doesn't work with me.
3h of sleep for three consecutive days is unimaginable for me

I went one day until midnight, the other until 1am, the other until 3am, the other until midnight... tonight I will sleep before 9pm, or that's the plan
but the client is 40km away, so I had to drive home, eat something, take a shower... it took precious sleep time
