Asking for resources is not on topic here. People can google themselves and especially for topics like ECC that are widely covered it's not that hard to find something useful

@TomK. I agree. Although the question was very vague and somewhat lazy I decided to be helpful by recommending pretty good resources on those topics since he didnt understand what it was. So as a total beginner I felt it would be more appropriate to just guide him the right direction instead of giving my opinion

It's not your opinion, it's the (somewhat democratically) topics that are either on or off-topic here

vague questions are almost always not answerable ;)

in the end there has to be a statement in the question that you could highlight and point at and say "that is the main point here"

all the other text I wrote is just precursor, in the end it comes down to this

questions with 3 or 4 different sentences that end with a quetion mark are usually not well put

and very open questions are almost always either off topic or too broad

@ Moderators: security.stackexchange.com/a/178322/10863 got an upvote. The response does not attempt to answer anything (as far as I understand french). I'm wondering if it's a bot who got upvoted by another bot. Might be worth looking into / flagging for SE / whatever you guys do with this kinda stuff.
