Oh, I guess two questions: 1) How do you tag questions, and 2) How do you write tag excerpts?
It looks... slightly haphazard?
Like for example, this question has both metaphorsandfigurative-language. Some questions have just the books while others have translation version and sub-tags about their questions
Or like, is there a reason why sabbath is a tag? Genuinely curious. I'm not familiar enough with the site here, but it seems a bit disorganized, even just by looking at the moderation election process.
Most of all the tag excerpts have either just a short description of what that tag is, but not how to use the tag
Jeff Atwood says, "It is my strong belief that the tags page is an essential map of what your community is, and is not, about." Many sites have a primary set of tags that categorize questions. On Arqade, those primary tags are the only tag most questions carry. It's easy to see the site is abo...
Right. Very straightforward. But are tags relating to figurative language essential to determining the question? Does a tag need both metaphor and figurative language, or just a specific type of figurative language or all figurative language?
My personal stance (though again, I'm not familiar enough with this site to say for sure) is to perhaps have a general overarching tag for anything related to figurative language or diction, etc. because getting too specific would create a whole bunch of unnecessary tags. I'm bringing most of my tagging stuff from what I do in Literature SE, so obviously there would be some major differences in what is considered a useful tag
@JonEricson Do you have any useful meta posts to what is considered on-topic? That might give me a better idea. With that being said, I'm sure how well a "brand new user's" suggestions would be received, but it's a start
Some days (like today) I log into Biblical Hermeneutics and see not much going on. So I think, "What question should I ask?" Asking good questions on demand turns out to be very difficult, if not impossible. What are some good ideas for questions I can ask?
Meta-note:

I don't want to trash on your entire tagging system, especially as a newbie, but I am confused. Why do we have tags for jesus or moses? Does this aid with experts finding questions related to hermeneutics? Can I make a tag for enoch if I wanted to? Why do we have a tag for both jesus and christology?
