Hi @JonEricson. New icon, I see. :-)

@MonicaCellio Yes. This was my work day today. ;-)

@JonEricson :-) Did you take it today?

@MonicaCellio I've changed my profile about to reflect my new employment. I'm now a Community Manager (in training) for Stack Exchange.
I hope to get a bunch of diamonds soonish.

@JonEricson I saw that. But I wasn't going to mention it in public until you did. Congrats!

@MonicaCellio Thanks. I had a busy day. ;-)

3:39 AM
@JonEricson I can imagine. Is there anybody local to you, or is it all Hangouts/Skype/chat/etc?

@MonicaCellio Hangouts and chat, mostly. I'm the Southern California assistant regional manager. My wife is the chairwoman of the party committee. ;-)
Which is to say, if you aren't a fan of The Office, it's just me for miles around.

@JonEricson :-) I knew it was a remote job and that you're not in NYC, but wondered if you had a coworker within driving range at all. Sounds like not.
BTW, do you happen to know if the deletion of my comment about Asher et al (the one you talked about here) was intentional or accidental? I thought that was a pretty important comment and it's gone now, but a bunch of responses are still there.

@MonicaCellio Not sure. I didn't remove it, I don't think, but there were a lot of comments laid to waste on that.

@JonEricson would you consider undeleting it? I could post it again, of course, but (a) it would be out of sequence and (b) it might prompt more hostility directed my way.

@MonicaCellio Ok. No promises that it won't disappear again.

3:50 AM
@JonEricson understood. The whole thread is due for a cleanup, but that's actually one of the few comments that I think needs to stay and it's one of only a few that got deleted.

@MonicaCellio Well, it was 1 of 22. Plus the 14 or so that still remain.

@JonEricson I think there was an earlier round of cleanup, but this just happened today. There's more work to be done there for sure (including maybe the last few; the last one is particularly questionable). But meanwhile, I really appreciate you restoring that one.

@MonicaCellio Strange how a question can sit dormant for ages and then, bam!, it's a hot item.

@JonEricson yeah. Somebody added a new answer, putting it on the front page again, and then things blew up.
And soon you get to deal with such things on lots of sites. :-)
Well, time to turn in here. Talk to you tomorrow!

@MonicaCellio See ya!

@JonEricson congrats!

Wow, I've come a long way since I wrote this answer - I would probably not upvote that answer if someone else posted it today
I just removed all the unnecessary stuff

@Dan Thank you! It's a bit nuts so far. ;-)
This question is causing way more trouble than it's worth:
11
Q: Why does the Scripture say that Abraham sacrificed his "only-begotten son"?

brilliantWhy does the Scripture say that Abraham sacrificed his "only-begotten son" (Heb. 11:17, Gen. 22:2) despite the fact that Isaac had a step-brother Ishmael who was 14 years older than Isaac and was in fact the first-born son of Abraham?

I'm going to be pretty aggressive about wiping out comment threads that devolve into comments directed at previous comments. Let's get the important points into answers (or new questions).

@JonEricson Excellent. Thank you.
