@Susan I had been wanting to get to it, but not found the time until today.

@ScottS Thank you! I need to take the time to read it more carefully but on the first read I'm fairly convinced you're right. It's still a wonder to me that translations nearly universally disagree. (I wasn't totally on board with bĕ as "(Along) with" in the Q -- although apparently such a "comitative" usage exists -- but you've left that line using the more normal sense of that word.)

(Maybe hērāyôn with holem-waw rather than hērāywōn with waw, holem?)

@Susan I don't even try to guess on transliterating. I just copy from Swanson's lexicon (noted in my refs there) his transliterations (taking out the syllable breaks). I find transliteration annoying, especially if more than one word, and so only use it when speaking of individual words simply for the benefit of those that cannot read Hebrew even to pronounce it.

@Davïd I've had some good feedback, but I did want you to know I am still waiting for your contribution before I sit back and seriously consider making any edits to the original question.
