@adamaero it's not something super-high-up in the foodchain no, but there's a lot of room there to pick up industrial domain knowledge, if you will

@JRE Regarding my post on SE. So my transformers have from 1.3 to 2.3 kVA. So it looks like I would need 2 transformers (given we dont take into account the nature of MOT cores) one with 1.3 kVA and another with 2.3 kVA to get the proper voltage and current I need to run 8th inch electrodes.
I did 100A × 4.8V= 0.480 kW and for 200 amps I did 200A × 8.8V = 1.760 kW. 4.8 v across the arc. And 8.8V across the arc for 200 A. I got the voltage across arc by doing 20+100A×0.04 = 4.8V and 20+200A×0.04=8.8V. Did I do this right?

Ya, better than working at McDonalds (joke). (I'd work in a factory if worst comes to worst.)

@adamaero I dunno about the "worst comes to worst" part -- I'd find working in a modern factory to be kinda cool, but that's me :)

Ah, I mean as a factory line worker.
Nothing to do with electrical engineering
Repetitive, no skill, high paying work (for unskilled work). I did this for two summers about three years ago.
