Is the voltage range our typical 5V to 24V each way?
When you would like something bigger than 10uF, then bigger by how much?
yeah -- the typical +/-15-25 volt range of small-signal work
and I'm probably only talking into the hundreds of uF, 1000uF tops
@dirac16 I think your chip's dead.
Given alu-poly a look yet?
@Asmyldof yeah, polymer aluminum is the frontrunner so far unless there's something that disqualifies it for coupling, timing, or signal filtering
@Shalvenay Stocking up for a new lab?
12:10 AM
@Giskard42 basically, yeah -- trying to plan my lab stock more or less
as well as organization for parts
@Shalvenay 1000uF is not the kind of value I would use in a signal chain. Power, though, possibly.
@NickAlexeev yeah, what would your top-end signal chain value be?
@NickAlexeev What? I usually put a farad ultracapacitor on any op-amp input rails.
@Shalvenay I can't recall using more than 10uF in a signal chain. (It was a ceramic, iirc.)
@NickAlexeev Clean power is assured for at least a year past the apocalypse
12:15 AM
@Giskard42 so you're saying you're basically filtering for nothing useful there?
@Asmyldof I filter out power outages
And pretty much nothing above 0.1Hz
@Asmyldof I don't know what you're talking about. Nothing over 0.1hz can exist.
@Asmyldof Sometimes, if it's a really sensitive project, I'll hook up a flywheel for decoupling.
decoupling battery :P
12:54 AM
That only suggests you don't know how decoupling and/or noise work
O.o
@Asmyldof I'm joking...

@Asmyldof Like Alligator Clips? ;)
