@JobyTaffey, Thanks for updating the banner and putting a chat link in there.

@pingswept, As I get more tired my emails have more typo's. I tried to read my email 3 times to catch typos and just miss them. It has been a long day.

1:25 AM
Ah, well. At least you aren't writing fundamentally stupid things.

2:04 AM
@pingswept, Hey, give me some credit. I can write more fundamentally stupid things then most.

2:51 AM
Off to work

ohh, never-mind, I just realized he was merged. It seems the account that he used was merged into the account he does not use.
Makes it hard to check when he was last online
I would like to say he seems to be a relatively new user and I always worry about actions like that causing very negative feelings right after he just took the plunge of trying to help.

5:00 AM
@pingswept, I saw your explanation of what the miss-match does on electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/5778/… is pretty good, but I think it is a different result then what you said

5:15 AM
hey guys!

@Kortuk: Not quite sure what you mean, but I have to go to sleep, as it is 1:16 AM. Maybe comment on the post? Or we can chat tomorrow.
Hi giddy. But goodnight.

haha! lol its bright and early morn here..
anyway... wanted to ask...
any good resources on electronics for a complete electronics noob (I do know lots of programming tho
?
Im looking a small roybot car/toy that I can hopefully write instructions too (Stop, turn left, say hi on LCD) ... Ive heard of AVR C and Arduino... are they decent for people who know programming but no electronics?

3 hours later…
8:00 AM
@giddy that sounds like a good question to ask on the site

6 hours later…
Jim
1:55 PM
@pingswept Hay up! was wanting to chat about one of the recently closed questions in our stack, you got time to discuss?
@pingswept ah...your grayed out, I guess that means your away. Sorry for the pointless comment then, I'm sure I'll catch you another time.

2:36 PM
@Jim, in case you are still on the site and will see the notification, can I be of help?

2 hours later…
4:20 PM
Hi! I've closed the question electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/5818 today. Do you have any comments?

4:35 PM
@OEngenheiro, I would have suggested letting the community close it. I do not think it made a difference though.
It was pretty clearly offtopic
@OEngenheiro, Also, if you know where they may want to go for the question I would suggest giving them a link.

4:50 PM
@OEngenheiro, I was asking in the teacher channel to make sure that the merge would not have negative affects. It is not the place to discuss among ourselves if it should be done.

5:02 PM
@Kortuk You're right again. I deleted the message.

this is purely a sidenote
When you say someone is correct and use the word right it is spelled right, write is used in a context "writing words"

and kortuk is right again :)

On that note, has been a hectic few days

@Kortuk I'm Sorry. I know the difference between "write" and "right" :-) And I almost write "write" again
@Kortuk I think you're right about the merged that i've done yesterday.
I shouldn't have been precipitated

@OEngenheiro, I just think that unless someone requests an account merge or a good reason to merge is found(for example, maybe there are cases where the two accounts are allowing the user to post comments supporting him/herself) The I will probably leave it alone.
@OEngenheiro, But I also think that you have done absolutely nothing I have a problem with, with a similar email it worries me a lot less.
@OEngenheiro, When I read the transcript I thought I read that the emails were "similar", not the same
I just wanted to check that there was no problem for the user
So i asked on teacher's lounge

5:12 PM
No problem to me.
And I've sent an email to Robert about this

About what?

About my mistake

You did not make a mistake, I think we may be having a misscommunication
You did fine, this user is creating an account almost every time they come on the site. I found 5 more accounts with the same email, and that is not a real email, and it is a login from a cooking
cookie*
No cooking, it is near lunch, fat guy is hungry
@OEngenheiro, We are all new, try not to beat yourself up over something minor. I do not think you did anything wrong, I just said that the way I will do it is different.

shouldn't the site prevent you from creating multiple accounts with the same email?

haha, in a perfect world the site answers questions also
@OEngenheiro, I have to head out for a bit. I think you are doing fine as moderator and I have not seen anything that needed to be undone. I would have said something directly to that point if there was a need.

5:33 PM
@Kortuk Thank you.

1 hour later…
6:45 PM
@OEngenheiro, No worries mate.
