@Duga FreeBasic has specific pointer operators and malloc-type functionality, and it might be that something similar gets added to twinBASIC in future. But VBA, no. Win32 calls only.
Catching up with chat. WRT privacy, about 20 years ago the UK they tried to insist that everyone had to have a biometric ID card, with massive fines if you dared move home without telling The Man. I was part of a campaign group called No2ID that opposed it. In the end, the ruling party changed and the new lot scrapped it on day 1.
I fear that they tried again these days, people would be like, "Meh, what's the problem. Nothing to hide, right?"
