I have to say, OnPropertyChanged CurrentProcedureName is pretty neat

From twinBasic?

CurrentProcedureName yeah

@MathieuGuindon in the off chance you are actually still here, is there an easy way to prune all the items from an IEnumerable based on their values being contained in a certain property of item in another?
(if this is a stupid question I should know the answer to I will respond to another SO VBA question to compensate :p)

InvalidCastException: Unable to cast object of type 'System.Double' to type 'System.Decimal'
I am so close to dumping EF now...
I can't even tell what is going on.
Try to make sense of this call stack:
Microsoft.Data.SqlClient.SqlBuffer.get_Decimal()
Microsoft.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataReader.GetDecimal(int i)
lambda_method(Closure , QueryContext , DbDataReader , ResultContext , SingleQueryResultCoordinator )
Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore.Query.Internal.SingleQueryingEnumerable<T>+Enumerator.MoveNext()
System.Linq.Enumerable.TryGetFirst<TSource>(IEnumerable<TSource> source, Func<TSource, bool> predicate, out bool found)
System.Linq.Enumerable.FirstOrDefault<TSource>(IEnumerable<TSource> source, Func<TSource, bool> predicate)

damn I figured out the issue and now I wish I could delete that
I guess venting is helpful however
I think there is still some validity to complaining about the obnoxiousness of trying to debug when so much is being done relatively opaquely for you.
(for the record, issue = some idiot changed the DB design and did not update EF model configuration to reflect that)

7:58 AM
My favorite thing about EF is how it does not like auto-properties.

@theVBE-it'srightforme what do you mean by doesn't like auto properties?
@theVBE-it'srightforme hardest part of learning new libraries.
I've had to read the source code on GitHub more than once to figure it out.

@theVBE-it'srightforme that’s why I rubberduck (note the lcasing) as I’m figuring stuff out. I ping myself once l find the answer. We all have WTF moments as we learn new things and can’t see the obvious.
