I think there is still some validity to complaining about the obnoxiousness of trying to debug when so much is being done relatively opaquely for you.

(for the record, issue = some idiot changed the DB design and did not update EF model configuration to reflect that)

My favorite thing about EF is how it does not like auto-properties.
