@Vogel612 yep. ..."code path" might have been a mistake in that sentence, we don't need CPA for the inspection to work =)

9 hours later…
@Duga I will work on this for Hacktoberfest.

4 hours later…
1:58 PM
@M.Doerner nice! that's now possible with the ITypeLib flag turned on, right? I tried to implement this a few months ago, and all I managed to do was to wreck the resolver :-(

♫Fixed it with a wrecking ball♪

lol

2:42 PM
I think the resolver could do with some high level architecture commentary. I feel lost when I'm trying to understand how this get called by what when.

2:54 PM
misses the days when "lol"s were "auto-starred" (for reasons wholly unknown to me). It's hard to star-cap these days (a pointless, but entertaining exercise)

@FreeMan - boring Friday, eh?

It's been a difficult week of clock watching. Very low motivation, focus or desire to do much of anything. Working hard waiting for the work day to end so I can get to projects around the house that are much more interesting.

I hear ya.

3:13 PM
@FreeMan Do you have free time to review Mugs articles or work on other coding tasks while at work?

It doesn't help that it's shunny and sheventy-sheven, without a cloud in the sky and just the shlightest hint of a breeshe.
@IvenBach time? yes. Motivation? no. :(

I had that for quite a while. When I started writing examples for Past-Iven to show him what I wish he'd have known it helped me.

^I'll keep that in mind.
Interesting: heidisql.com/forum.php?t=36890 Written in Delphi!
Gonna see if I can connect to the InfluxDB I've got running in a docker on my home server, create a table and a view so I can assign server drive numbers to drive serial numbers for reporting in Grafana without having to edit each and every Grafan panel with a serial->"friendly name" override
maybe that'll kick-start some motivation.

3:28 PM
@FreeMan Antonym of Exceed? I'm writing a unit test and the proper #Word escapes me.

"exceed" as in "his ability was exceeded only by his ambition"?

I'm writing unit tests to show that when an input value exceeds a limit it will cause an output value to be incremented by 1.

umm.....

What's the proper word that indicates it's not exceeding/surpassing a CantileverLengthLimit?
Falls within, is under, is below, etc...

3:31 PM
But none of the words or word-phrase I've tried fit.
I tried an antonym search already and none of those best fit the situation.

"fail, inferior" none of those seem to work.

Not really.

"not exceeding", "falls within allowable limits", "within (allowable) range"
don't know that you'll find one word
"acceptable"?

belowCantileverLengthInput and subsequent belowFooBar for the results is what I've come up with so far.

withinCantileverLengthLimit?
If withinCantileverLengthLimit(foo) Then Print("Within Range") Else Print("Exceeds Range")
or
If overhang.withinCantileverLengthLimit Then Print("Within Range") Else Print("Exceeds Range")

3:37 PM
Currently I'm torn between exceed/within and above/below.
That's better than what I had. I'll mull it over and revisit naming later today.

mmmm.... mulling.....

Iven self note. Make atomic changes/commits. Quit crossing the streams contaminating your refactorings.
Use a TODO marker if I see a separate positive change is possible while already in mid-refactor.

3:59 PM
CompliesWith?

#NamingIsHard

4:21 PM
IsInRange or IsOutOfRange (?)

5:02 PM
Actually, subcede exists as an antonym of exceed.
But I think the issue really lies with LengthLimit which is ambiguous. Probably better to use MaxLength.

3 hours later…
8:00 PM
just make a new word, "deceed"
look it has a pending entry in the dictionary that was suggested in 2012: collinsdictionary.com/submission/486/deceed

1 hour later…
9:02 PM
@MathieuGuindon As far as I can see, the only thing needed is to use the user com projects to add the superclass names before the compilation passes run. Then, the type hierarchy pass will do the rest.
