Q: Better way to code this code snippet (copy paste)

Sad 22I am trying to improve upon a VBA code created through recording a macro. Can the code below be optimized (I was informed to avoid .Select as much as possible)? The code itself works fine for me though. Sheets("DataExport").Select Range("A1").Select Range(Selection, Selection.End(xlTo...

@FreeMan The story of @FreeMan keeps getting sadder and sadder and takes a weird turn. You won't believe it!

See, other people's misery - that sells.

50,000 volts through the keyboard for using .Select and .Activate? please let it be that. Please let it be that. Please let it be that!

I echo the Please let it be that!

Mathieu says to throw this VBA code out. 12 early signs of programmer maladise!

What your VBA code is really saying when it shows an error message.

maladise?

Hey, gimme a break. I'm just making up clickbait titles.

Sadly, that's about how well "responsible journalism" does their writing these days.

what is this "journalism" you speak of?

Spell check? We ain't got no time for stinkin' spell check. No fact checkin, neither. We gotta be FIRST!!!11!!!one!!ONE!!!1

IKR? Annoying AF.

3:44 PM
If they stop requiring spell check I can be an author.

I actually think being an author requires clearing much higher bar than being a journalist.

Incorrect usage of words on my part. I'm still half asleep.

4:13 PM
I dunno, it seems "journalism" has moved well into the realm of fictional story telling. Not much difference any more. :(

Is it usual when writing to get to the end of an article or post only to realize you need to fix and correct most of what was written?
I find myself doing that often enough to no longer feel confident in what I'm doing because of the corrections.
Means I'm still learning.

I dunno, I do that with emails & texts. But then, I usually try to communicate clearly because I've seen the results of unclear communication. Usually, it's not pretty.
At a minimum, there's frustration & wasted time as everyone tries to figure out what was being said. At the worst, wrong things are done, relationships end, wars start.

5:00 PM
@FreeMan except, good authors do research for their fictional stories. Journalists don't even bother.

5:14 PM
@this true dat

6:03 PM
@QuackExchange I gotta ask how that didn't get closed. It says "snippet" right there in the title and does exactly what it says on the tin...

SO has become a kinder, gentler place??

You provide an immediate disclaimer and if the tool is the right one for the job I don't see why it wouldn't be.
Several answers on CR point users to RD and IIRC everyone openly state's they're contributors.
