State diagram. Anyone find any utility in knowing them and using them? Just heard about it.
Really abstract presentation of the concept. I sorta grok it but feel as if I’m missing my aha lightbulb moment

State diagram lead me to read about DFA (en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deterministic_finite_automaton) which regex relies on. Another rabbit hole to read about.

@IvenBach Since you pointed that out, I had to take a look. A look became the need to comment on it, and well...

FreeManThese items won't necessarily address Excel's memory usage. I think you'd have to have a chat with MS's Excel development team to really address that. This will, however address some of the general coding issues I noticed that should help us write easier to understand and maintain code. Danger Wi...

I'm glad you asked! Rubberduck is an awesome OSS program that I use extensively. It'll do indentation for you (and to your own rules), as well as help catch all sorts of programming errors. #Disclaimer: Big fan. Regular user, Small contributor. — FreeMan 8 secs ago

@FreeMan - nice answer!

That a Mug-level answer right there.

awww... shucks...

@FreeMan wow! well done!
> I'm torn on this one, it's programmer preference
I don't think it's one though
i.e. it's purely redundant, and well, VBA is verbose enough as it is! =)
(IMO it obscures the intent: "huh why are we resetting this variable? scrolls back up nope, not being reused... wtf? removes redundant assignment")

Your efforts to teach the ducklings has paid dividends Mug.
My latest :derp: moment - Why doesn't Ctrl+R, Ctrl+R work in VBA? Oh yeah... It's not VS.

@MathieuGuindon blush
@MathieuGuindon I wouldn't do it, but it is explicit and expletives explicitness is good...

expletives is good too

As a desktop Windows developer I have always just used dotNetFrameWork. I heard about Core and Standard and tried to ignore it to the best of my abilities. Now faced with a reason to port a Framework project to Core, I found the instructions fairly straightforward. My dependencies are now all failing to load. This is quite a cluster of which version works with what. I'm wondering how long I can hide in Framework?
