Q: VBA Excel loop with offset for extended range

MKRGood morning, I've made the loop for the range, which is copied from one sheet to another. However I have no solution for trimming my code down, which looks like this: Sub sunrise() Dim i As Single With Worksheets("7") .UsedRange.Clear .Range("a1").Value = "Latitude" .Range("b1").Value = "...

FYI: I think the RSS feeds from twitrss.me doesn't work. They return HTTP 500. Probably haven't been working for a while.
Let me know if you find another Twitter-to-RSS option.

@mansellan Having not yet read the question, I read the answer. As I started reading the question, I was thinking that somewhere you'd asked how many people might find your click-once packager useful. I thought the answer as "1". :)

There are so many questions to answer today. I thought no one did any work on Friday.

So the MS-Access Version Control software I have been helping with is trying to make a quantum leap in to DevOps with the ability to build an AccessDB application in a GitLab Runner / Azure DevOps Agent / GitHub sort of CI\CD pipeline. QUESTION: Can Rubberduck testing be called somehow automatically from the command line?
If we had the automated build, could RubberDuck then be invoked to show all test cases passing?

Currently, that is not possible.
TBH, running access headless is explicitly a scenario not supported by MS.

8:24 PM
We are just running access with command line switches to call a function that does magic and closes access. So it's not that it's fully "Headless" but it's automated.
I guess a better question is: Can RD testing be kicked off with a VBA command? Because there is already a function running. It just needs to pass to RD and somehow get the results of the test back.

The problem is that in a true headless scenario, there will be no user profile, no desktop, and all that extra baggage.
Office, however, can't work in that kind of environment. If you set it up to run on an Azure virtual machine, then that is not a problem.
since if it freezes or something, you can intervene by logging in and doing something or at least rebooting it.
to get unit tests to run headless, we need a VBA host that can support the scenario but even so, we'd need to be sure to hook all calls like MsgBox to avoid freezing. Since MS no longer licenses VBA SDK....

The host is MS-Access, that's a requirement so we aren't headless here
Let's also assume that our tests don't invoke any interactive elements. They would all have to be basic unit tests.

I'm also assuming with Azure DevOps, you are running a virtual machine

They are talking about using GitLab runner on Windows box
or Azure DevOps. So yes in both case

as long it actually loads a user profile, I guess that's fine, and technically is not headless.

8:38 PM
Yeah, I think it has to be this way for other reasons.

but you'll have to deal with the chances that it will fail whenever there's a blocking dialog

So can I run RD test from VBA and get back a list of failed tests?

using RD API, you could have. But we deprecated it

Ok, that is the answer I was looking for. Thanks
