@Laurel Thanks, I was using the regular Times New Roman. I tried other fonts. You're right, after further investigations, using my desktop-based version of PowerPoint, I see it is caused by "small caps". How can I disable "small caps" in my text in PowerPoint 365 on the web? I couldn't find this option yet.
Thanks, can you please post "Note that PowerPoint does not seem to have a way to apply "Small Caps" however the desktop version does. Powerpoint" That seems to be the right answer. I added more details in the question.

@FranckDernoncourt This is an esoteric problem and troubleshooting it is not a good fit for the site however I isolated it for you (which doesn't change that). Your theme uses text styles like drop shadows and small caps. If you don't like a particular theme you can choose from others. "Clear Formatting" will remove modifications you've applied to theme styles. The reason it didn't work is that there was no modification to remove.

The desktop app supports applying small caps and a host of other features not available in the web app. For this reason, you could override the style in the
@BlindSpots an esoteric problem? the issue is small caps. Not at all an esoteric problem. Even if it was, "power users" aren't banned from using this website.

Please don't assume I will always troubleshoot these types of issues with you but glad I could help. Take care.

@BlindSpots I don't need trouble shouting, I just need you to stop closing my questions that I think are 100% on-topic.
This is not an esoteric problem. PowerPoint is used by hundreds of millions of users, maybe billions. Small caps isn't an esoteric feature. Both you and Laurel found the issue. Nothing is esoteric. Please reopen, thanks.
