CCCC: Poet - one of a trio of 17th century Separatists - used this craft to express rhythm (5)
still don't see any way the "stumble" part could work here though

Other five-letter guitarists John are Miles, Sykes, Oates, and Smith. (And doubtless I've missed some.)
@oAlt John may er(-r)

that explains it

1:48 AM
@Stiv if oAlt confirms that solution as correct and you see that confirmation before I do, feel free to take the next. You got nearly there and I'd never have solved it without you.

@msh210 And now that's correct :)

Q: Same sequence interwoven with itself creating groups

MaffIf we take all the digits from 1 to 9 and lay them out in order. 123456789 Now repeat the sequence and add it to the end. 123456789123456789 Now let's copy and reverse everything to create a second sequence 987654321987654321 Now we merge both together and wrap them into a circle. So we have 18 d...

@msh210 Ha, that's fine - I have very little time today (busy at work) and no clues in the bag so I'm happy for you to go ahead. I got halfway there but you finished it off with aplomb :)

Q: Riddle in Thirteen Lines!

TechidiotIt loves to twist and turn, A mystery that men seek to learn. I don't doubt its swag, It can make an ant nag. It takes one so far, And builds a nice bar. It's powers can be seen, When it transforms a barren terra green. ...

CCCC: After end of stream, "72hrs" revealed a certain drug — it helps wake people up (5-2-5)

12:55 PM
@msh210 I have an idea, but struggling with word play

1:08 PM
Well, 72 hours is three days, but that doesn't look promising
And an alarm clock helps wake people up but that doesn't fit the enumeration

MOUTH (end of stream) + TOM (72hrs, a popular gaming streamer) + OUT (revealed) + H (a certain drug) = MOUTH-TO-MOUTH (it helps wake people up)

Q: The "Slightly Spooky Sequence" Game

Bernardo Recamán SantosTwo players, Alice and Beatrice, having previously agreed on a positive integer N (say 30) as a limit, take turns to write a sequence of positive integers. In the first turn Alice writes 1. Thereafter, on the nth turn, whosoever turn it is, writes the previous term plus or minus n, or, if neither...

Q: Wizard of subsets

SlowMagicCan you change this into this in three moves? You are the wizard of subsets. With only your mind, you can grab any subset of the 16 stone blocks and move them one unit in any direction (north, east, south, west). However, you may not cause two stone blocks to occupy the same space. (That'...

Q: Two crossword clues

parzI don’t know why I’m making this, but here are 2 crossword clues off the top of my head. (And no, no crosswords for you!) To play rock, paper, scissors agressively? (5, 5) Apolitical reactionist? (7)

Hi @jafe

3:26 PM
@oAlt indeed. @TakingNotes your solution was indeed what I intended.
@oAlt thanks

There's a difference between "hard" and "unfair" - cryptic clues are expected to abide by certain rules, so solvers can be justifiably upset if it turns out the puzzle they were trying to solve broke those rules. See puzzling.stackexchange.com/questions/45984/cryptic-clue-guid‌e (note: I have not checked into either side of the argument here, just giving a default hard =/= unfair response) — bobble 19 mins ago
(were the clue really "unfair" or were they just "hard"?)
I am too far removed from cryptic cluing to decide either way

At least some of the clues are indeed bad. (And not especially hard.)

Q: Surprise pi! Explain this phenomenon

ApexPolentaTake any scientific calculator and follow these steps: Ensure the calculator is in degrees mode. Enter some number of 5's (more than 4 is ideal). Take the reciprocal of step 2. Take the sine of step 3. You should find that the result is an approximation of $\pi$ (that becomes more accurate as m...
