Ideas that have been raised:
- Sepulcher can also mean "bury" (archaic meaning)
- Magic ring could refer to Magician/Celembrimbor
- Answer is related to Chanel/Charnel
- "buried, e.g." is a single unit like DUG or HID or the like
- "buried, e.g." is EG hidden (subtracted)
- Sepulcher could be "land" or the like
- The answer ends in "is"/"in"
I really have no idea what to do lol
"Ring", not "magic ring". Idk why I didn't spot that mistake immediately

@Karl it is immaterial whether they have the right to force someone to take down a copy, when the fact of the matter is they would rather no-one copy. The policy is not based on copyright but politeness and following clearly-proclaimed wishes — bobble 14 secs ago

Q: Fifteen minuter? Give it a shot

AlteringIntegralExactly one of the seven tiles on the bottom will go in each of the seven curved regions formed by the overlapping circles. Two additional tiles have been placed for you - but the question is which tiles go where and why?

Ill need help again on another problem I've encountered...
If 16 nails are placed at equal intervals around the circumference of a circle, how many triangles can be formed when an elastic band is wrapped around three of these nails? Reflections or rotations are counted separately.
For those asking, one of my high school friends had challenged me to quite an challenge, asking me 5 interesting math problems. There is another I am not quite sure, but Ill see about this one first.

For reference, the other question I am not sure goes a bit like this:
16 nails are then placed at equal intervals into the shape of a square. Since the corner nails are shared, there are 5 nails on each side. How many triangles are formed when an elastic band is wrapped around three or more of these nails? Again, reflections and rotations are counted separately.
I've had these 2 questions for a about a week now...

any help would be beneficial

@Stevo only just saw this
I'm not going to be any help though 🤔😳
Although, it sounds like you could just do the binomial coefficient for (16,3) ?
So that's 560?

2:36 PM
yeah that looks right

@juicifer phew
A round (also called a perpetual canon [canon perpetuus] or infinite canon) is a musical composition, a limited type of canon, in which a minimum of three voices sing exactly the same melody at the unison (and may continue repeating it indefinitely), but with each voice beginning at different times so that different parts of the melody coincide in the different voices, but nevertheless fit harmoniously together. It is one of the easiest forms of part singing, as only one line of melody need be learned by all parts, and is part of a popular musical tradition. They were particularly favoured in glee...
Purcell is a composer who used this round technique, which requires a ring of singers?

Aubrey, Avebury and Tisbury may also have something to do with rings (of stones)

Another C4 hint (I think it's #3): I hold a math(s) degree.

@msh210 SILBURY &lit. : SI<(sepu)L(chre)BURY, part of Avebury Ring, is a barrow/Sepulchre (also relates en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silbury_Air
Not sure if right, or legal but it was fun to consider

@AncientSwordRage Not my intention, I'm afraid.

@msh210 no worries, I did think it was long shot

6:31 PM
@msh210 In which case I reckon we're looking at INTEGER = INT(EG)ER where 'Composer of Ring...?' is the def and 'sepulcher' is being used as the verb (as someone else mentioned), a synonym of which is INTER

@Stiv yes!
The integers is the archetypal ring.

So many other rings were mentioned, I'm not sure anyone said maths before you mentioned it?!

@Stiv I think not.

6:47 PM
@Stiv it crossed my mind, I'd watched a video about group theory but I'd never thought too much about it

7:29 PM
So yeah, I don't think I'd have thought of that at all ...

7:59 PM
oh wow
well done

@Stiv _pin_ (a brad)?

@msh210 Indeed :)

@msh210 LIZ = _LIZ_

10:24 PM
@Stiv yes

Wonder what she did to deserve that...

@msh210 Absolutely :)
